On to what I have learned about their anatomy.
The Spine and Central Nervous System
While the human brain and CNS are already most complex organs
and very little is known about the totality of their function,
there are a few structural changes in every Omega brain and CNS I
have studied. Some Omegas, in fact, have many different structures
to their brains and CNS, but the ones I will be mentioning here
These differences mean that on average, an Omega has a greater
degree of ability with processes that require quick neural
activity. Also, some OH have the ability to 'set' their reflexes,
or decide how they will operate, which seems connected to this
- The Corpus Callosum is made of a material very similar to
the normal human neuron, but 10 times as conductive. It is also
- The Pineal Gland is 10% larger.
- The Spinal Cord, much like the Corpus Callosum, is more
- The entire structure is slightly larger, on average, than
BH brain/CNS structures would be. The difference is small, too
small to be visible, but there.
- There is a structure within the brain, within the Frontal
Lobe, that seems to be composed of the same superconductive neural
matter as the Corpus Callosum and the Spinal Cord. What it does and
why it is there is unknown...It is usually the size of a pea, and
has connectors of the same neural filaments to all the other
regions of the brain. It can be larger in some and smaller in
others, and its size seems to have some collary to the ability with
Psi of the OH in question.
The Locomotor SystemThis system changes very little in Omegas, unless their Omega
has directly affected it. While they have a similar change in their
Neurons, this has little overall effect save to offer for
improvement in reaction time. However, almost all Omegas seem to
possess at least the potential for great endurance, and I have
noted a lower than BH production of fatigue poisons.
The Circulative SystemI have noted no base changes in all Omegas in the Circulative
System, save that it too benefits from the enhanced Neurons. While
some OH have substantial differences here, these are not universal.
The Endocrine SystemThis system is altered in OH quite a bit. For starters, all
of the glands are affected much the way the Pineal Gland is, being
between 5-10% larger and much quicker. Also, they seem hardier, on
average, than the same organs in BH. Another benefit that is not
explainable through anatomic study is the simple ability most
Omegas have of 'stressing' these systems in order to produce
amounts of hormone FAR in excess of what a BH could.
Metabolic processesThe OH metabolism is faster than BH. This is a fact. The RATE
of the metabolic process may be variable, but not the fact that any
Omega will have at least a 10% increase in all metabolic processes.
Also, they seem to heal faster and better, their white blood cells
and T-cells responding more rapidly to infection and their
endocrine and digestive systems speeding up the rebuilding process.
(I have as yet been unable to determine the mitosis/meiosis rates
for OH. They SEEM similar, but I suspect that they are capable of
increasing in speed.) In short, the Omega has an efficent, rapid
metabolism, which goes hand in hand with their increased Neural
efficency and Endocrine output, explaining why some of them seem
capable of inhuman feats despite having, on whole, negligible psi
powers. (One example is the former chief of security at Dynamax
Dallas, who had the Omega ability to make paper change color.
However, by training and conditioning his Omega physique to an iron
edge, he became capable of hand to hand and ranged combat to a
level that seemed monstrous. His endocrine system especially aided
him in that regard, as slide #102 will show.)
The Sensory processesWhile some Omegas have enhanced sensory capacity, on the whole
these are mainly unaltered.
RespirationThe lungs of an OH show no more difference from a BH than
individual varience would allow for. However, the OH do more with
what their lungs bring in, as the Metabolic entry shows.
The Digestive SystemDue to that impressive metabolic system, the OH need to digest
more food than a BH of similar size and weight. Fortunately, they
are 20% better at extracting nutrients from Organic Matter. The
tissues lining their stomachs, intestines and livers are all
slightly different from BH, containing an enzyme not present (And
indeed, unknown to me) in BH systems. This enzyme seems to act as
a secondary digestent, going to work on any matter that might not
have yielded up all of the nutrition possible.
The Urogenital SystemSave for the Kidney's having a similar 20% increase in
efficency, and the testes/ovary of the OH being affected by their
role in the Endocrine System, this is a fairly unaltered system.
Omega births do not seem to be any easier, and they do not seem to
be any more fecund.
Obviously, this is a very limited survey of the parameters of
Omega Anatomy, but until such time as I can get access to more
specimens, it is as far as I am willing to go in a summary paper.
My raw data and findings should be attatched, as well as my
personal and medical journals, and all documents pertaining to the
actual dissection/vivisection process.

Addendum: New Genetic Discoveries (Written 4/12/89)
"Two people without any Omega powers, and no sign of
anything abnormal in their physiologies, can produce an Omega.
Omegas ALWAYS seem to produce Omegas with powers similar to their
own, and sometimes these Omega offspring can 'trigger' AGAIN,
gaining new abilities in the exchange, although this is still in
the beginning stages of research."
Apparently I should not have included this passage in the
document, for it was indeed premature. New studies conducted by
myself, Dr. Theobald, and data we have received from SIRECOM (Which
presumably means Dr. Riley worked on it.) indicates that an Active,
already triggered Omega may NOT produce Omega offspring. Simply
put, the changes may or may not act as Dominant...sometimes, they
seem to be recessive in one generation, only to develop Dominance
in the next. I cannot account for this. Not only are we past
Mendel, we are past post-Mendelian thought. However this mechanism
works (And I suspect psi activity) it is beyond us at this time.
So, for now, I know practically NOTHING about the genetic
structure of the Omega or of OH subjects. I am beginning to suspect
that there is a structural parasite of some kind that I am
missing...but I have no substantive data as yet. Hopefully, future
research will produce an answer.
