Reality's Toymaker

CERISE - REALITY'S TOYMAKER

(250 point version by Sara Willig, player of Urda)

She is the female half of the set of twins Nikolas incited to grow within Raven as the price for restoring her to Jacob. Angered at having been victim to this bizarre type of rape Raven placed the fetuses in an incubator on a high-tech, fast-time Shadow determined to have nothing at all do do with them. Jacob raised the children in the fastest Shadow he could find.

Cerise, from all reports, got on quite well with her father; wondering about, but not obcessing on, her missing parent.

Inheritance of Shroudling heritage doesnt seem to have caused Cerise the anguish it does the more dramatic members of Lir's Line. The child of a consumate molder of reality and the grandchild of the sculptress Celia, raised in isolation it was small wonder that Cerise learned to make herself friends, to fashion toys. It was small wonder that an army of toys contacted her for help in their rebellion.....

It was NightSummer before she met up with her relatives. And then on a grand scale.

GM tips for Playing Cerise

Above all Cerise is practical and direct, the least angst-ridden of her entire family. She will always say what she means, when she has something to say. She is usually content and although laid back she has a sharp and ready wit. She encountered a large number of her family during NightSummer and proved herself easily adaptable.

Cerise as a Parent:

Although very young, Cerise is already quite familiar with the motive to create and blessed with the ability to foresee the needs of her creation. There is no doubt but the she would prove secure enough within herself to provide a child the stability s/he would need.

Cerise as a Player in the Games of Paradox:

Cerise was a mostly solitary person, content with her toys and the limited family she'd grown up with: Jacob, Mabon, the stories of her mother Raven. One day she was contacted by an army of toys who requested her aid for with a war of rebellion. Promising to get back to them Cerise considered their request. Then NightSummer occurred and she was thrown into the malestrom of her extended family. She spent most of the time helping out her grandmother Celia with Clarissa; the 2 women became fast friends. By the end of the night Cerise had created an army of toys for Thalion to fight magicians with; discovered that there was a race of toys - Constructs who called themselves Azi; been witness to the creation of the High King and the appointing of the rulers of the 5 Worlds; become a citizen of Rebma (long closed to Shroudlings); and accepted the position of Ambassador to the Diamond Axis. Within days she had helped alter the very structure of Paradox Logic, witnessed the birth of Balance and been called in as a consultant to help the Azi Kings reshape the Diamond Axis.

From unknown to indispensible in the space of a few days, Cerise appears to have eclipsed her own father.

Allies and Enemies:

Cerise rapidly sorted through the mass of people presented to her just 2 months ago at NightSummer. She and her grandmother Celia instantly bonded and it is with her Cerise went to live.

She sought and received reconcilliation with her estranged mother Raven.

And her imagination was captured by the Toys, their Silent Rebellion, their brand new nation and their diminutive King(s): U.R.D.A., Black and White. Cerise has no known enemies/nemisi.
