Happy New Years

Summary: A brief look forward

I have another post ready, but I felt odd posting it without today without first acknowledging New Years Day, so here goes: Happy New Years, ZedneWeb readers! I don’t know what 2007 has in store for us, but I hope at least some of them are good.

I’d like to see an end to the fighting in Iraq (although I can’t say I’m optimistic) and I’d like to see the new Democratic majority in Congress stop or at least slow my country’s descent into autocracy (nothing says “freedom” like indefinite imprisonment of citizens without charge).

On a more cheerful note, I’m hoping to post more here on ZedneWeb and to get back into Sfstory—which, incidentally, will have its twentieth anniversary this year.

For my readers, why not resolve to start reading Narbonic? The final episode was posted yesterday, and Shannon Garrity has started reposting the entire series with commentary, one strip at a time. Perfect for anyone who was intimidated by the size of the archives.
