The Cover shows Linguist Lass and a Half-Invisible Lurker Lad being
attacked by an Immense Golden Being who seems to have a certain likeness
of lurker Lad in him.

Linguist Lass yawned as she stepped out of her quarters. It was the
Morning. She stretched slightly, and fell under the unique sway of her
stomach. "Cheesecake prolly." She muttered, and began to walk down the
Long Corridor of LNHHQ towards the Cafeteria.

"Linguist Lass!" Lurker Lad yelled, as Linguist Lass stepped into the the
Cafeteria. He ran over to her. "You'll never believe what I've been through."

"What are you talking about?" Linquist Lass responded, a look of disdain
for the one who seemed to be keeping her from some breakfast, forming.

"I was swept to another Net.Earth....I barely Escaped Alt.Lactus!" Lurker
Lad blithered, as the two sat down. He quickly recited what had happened.

"Um...wow..." Linguist Lass muttered, and practically grabbed a piece of
cheesecake Cheescake-Eater Lad had brought her. Suddenly, the world went
black.

Or rather, just sorta dark, really. Linguist Lass and Lurker Lad were
amazed as light returned. For they were standing in the midst of an
Arena. "Where...are we?!"

YOU ARE IN A PURELY HYPOTHETICAL SUB-DIMENSION OF OUR UNIQUE CHOOSING. I
AM MASTER WORKLOAD. I WILL WORK TO CATALOGUE THE EVENTS HEREIN TO GET THE
WORK DONE.

AND I, LORD MUD, WILL AMUSE MYSELF ALONG WITH PROVIDING MASTER WORKLOAD
WITH DATA.

And then, in unison, before either LNHer could respond, the Duality
stated, simply, PREPARE YOURSELVES FOR A BATTLE OF COSMIC STRENGTH.

OH, AND THE MULTI-TASKER WILL SERVE AS AN OBSERVER. Lord MUD added,
quickly to their Dual statement. On cue, the Multi-Tasker became visible,
surrounded by an aura of light and darkness.

"BEGIN." The Multi-Tasker stated.

FOOM! There was a burst of ethereal light, and a new figure appeared.
"What the...?!" Linguist Lass shouted.

"I am the Golden Lurker." This new figure stated. Both heroes gulped. The
Golden Lurker was about the height and weight of Lurker Lad, and almost
looked like him, except for being totally gold in both body and costume,
but also with flecks of Infinity on him. He flew towards them, blasts of
Cos.Mic energy surging forth.

Immediately all three began to do battle, the LNHers participating more
for the sake of retaining a hold on their existence. As the Battle waged,
Master Workload continued to monitor the events, and catalogued all kinds
of data. The Multi-Tasker, his attention split equally between his
Creators and the Fighters, floated towards Lord MUD. "Master, I am
curious as to why you choose The Golden Lurker...You yourself said he was
an Alt.er.net Lurker Lad empowered by Neternity...Is it wise to pit him
against his counterpart?"

Lord MUD answered accordingly. WHO SAID ANYTHING ABOUT WISDOM? IT'S JUST
_FUN_!

Multi-Tasker nodded, and grew silent yet talkative.

"My...counterpart?!" Lurker Lad cooed, confused. Golden Lurker approached
him.

"I do apologize for this. However, they were able to manipulate events
into pitting us against each other..." Golden Lurker stated, as he
blasted the LNHers. Lurker Lad suddenly vanished.

"What?" Golden Lurker mumbled, when suddenly a pair of fists became solid
and bashed into his head, and the cosmic being fell.

HMPH. Lord MUD mumbled. THAT WAS FAST. And with that, suddenly, they were
gone, Linguist Lass & Lurker Lad back on Earth.

The Golden Lurker too was gone.

_The Looniverse_

Golden Lurker flashed by a Star, glad to no longer be in conflict with
his counterpart.

"What a Cosmic Jest that was."
