Paradigm

Paradigm is perhaps the least known of the powers despite having often been openly used. It featured heavily in the Elemental War when it's Avatar, The Drake, established herself as a major player in the Games of Paradox.

Paradigm apparently provides it's practitioners the ability to turn anything into any other thing. Including, perhaps, themselves. At the basic level, use of Paradigm requires that a user be able to touch that which they 'morph'. However there is evidence that the restriction of touch is a far broader one than might be thought possible. Flame can, and has, been morphed. Is this what was meant by the term Elemental War? That any of the elements can be morphed via Paradigm? And does touch extend to include mind touch?

There are restrictions as well, every power must have it's balances. One known one is that in order to create an antidote to an existing compound you must first know the formula of said compound. Greater mass is harder to morph: when Urda tried to morph a flame giant to dust all he managed was the big toe.

Drake has shown that she needn't utilize touch to affect things an people. During the Elemental War she proved quite able to control, divert and infect the powers of other practitioners.

Besides the Drake herself there are no known users of Paradigm above the Basic level. There are two known practicioners of Basic Paradigm, both of Dworkin's AIs: URDA and CROYD. Each manifests usage in different ways, Urda simply touches things, Croyd has been seen to pull things out of his mouth. There is some small evidence that for both of these models the usage of this power might be somewhat instinctual.
