Second Wave Tanks
Tanks due in 1998 The Ice and Bone tanks have been sighted in a few markets in the U.S., but mostly have been available only in Canada. Thanks to Carol Nam, I've got copies of both. Click HERE for a review of the two tanks.

Ice Tank Kryospider - As the name implies, a big ice spider. It can be attached to a base and spun around in motion, like some kind of Ice Dervish. The picture is kinda hard to see, since it's a blue toy on a blue background.
Bone Tank Bioshredder - Looks kinda like a pillbug when closed, no picture of the opened tank on the Trendmasters page, thankfully there's only an open picture on the package, which I have here. Color scheme and appearance reminiscent of Retrax from Beast Wars Transformers.
Mega Robotron Walker - Not a tank per se, but rather a robotic winged tiger or something. I don't think it transforms, but probably walks like a Zoid.

First Wave Tanks
Tank released in 1997, plus a knockoff The last new wrinkle in the line for 1997 was the addition of transforming battle tanks at the $15 price level. The first one to become available is the Beast Tank, Scorpizoid, which has been filling bottom shelves in toy stores for months now.

Scorpizoid Review: Didn't come with a card, so I scanned the box art. This computer-generated art doesn't quite match the actual toy, and none of the photos on the box had it transformed correctly. Click here for the grainy picture from Previews, which is about as close as anything on the box.
Galaxy War Battle Station: NOT a War Planets toy, this is a cheap knockoff planet playset I found. However, it's about the same size as the Tanks, and looks like it would belong to the Planet Tek forces, so I'm listing it here. Pictures of the closed and open fortress show a more spherical and detailed toy than the one I got, further suggesting that this is a knockoff of another toy.
