Dave's RPM Wrapup Just bio notes and techspecs - Updated July 31, 2010 Permalink: http://www.eyrie.org/~dvandom/BW/RotF/RPM2 While I've bought a few RPMs here and there since my initial review, but never felt like reviewing them. Still don't, but with Dollar Tree getting pretty much all the single-packs I bought up all the ones I didn't have already. At a buck each, they're worth it! For future reference, here's all the bio notes and techspecs I have (I got Long Haul and Ratchet in a Wal-Mart special two-pack that had no bios or specs, but accidentally bought a second Ratchet at Dollar Tree, so I have his numbers). Thanks to Zobovor for several of the missing ones! I'll lead off with the VS. packs I got on clearance at K-Mart, since they have linked bio notes. Then everyone else chunked by series. I'll also include the stuff from my actual review, just to keep things all here. If you have cardback info for any I'm lacking, feel free to send it in and I'll add it. SPD = Maximum Speed HP = Horsepower RAM = Ramming Power ARM = Armor BATTLE SERIES 01: BUMBLEBEE vs. BARRICADE Longtime rivals and bitter enemies, BUMBLEBEE and BARRICADE have battled each other again and again, on countless worlds. They are too evenly matched to ever win a decisive victory, yet both are determined to destroy the other. Barricade: SPD 8 HP 8 RAM 8 ARM 6 Avg 7.5 Bumblebee: SPD 6 HP 8 RAM 6 ARM 5 Avg 6.25 BATTLE SERIES 02: AUTOBOT JAZZ vs. DECEPTICON BRAWL The only workable tactic against an opponent as heavily armed as DECEPTICON BRAWL is hit-and-run. Lucky for AUTOBOT JAZZ, that's his specialty. While the huge DECEPTICON lays waste to the city around him, AUTOBOT JAZZ races in to deliber a punishing blow. Decepticon Brawl: SPD 3 HP 10 RAM 8 ARM 9 Avg 7.5 Autobot Jazz: SPD 9 HP 8 RAM 6 ARM 7 Avg 7.5 BATTLE SERIES 03: BONECRUSHER vs OPTIMUS PRIME On a shattered Colorado freeway, these two titans grapple, each struggling to gain the upper hand in a fight to the finish. Though BONECRUSHER is incredibly powerful, he can feel the strength of OPTIMUS PRIME slowly overwhelming him. Bonecrusher: SPD 5 HP 9 RAM 9 ARM 10 Avg 8.25 Optimus Prime: SPD 7 HP 10 RAM 10 ARM 10 Avg 9.25 BATTLE SERIES 04: MUDFLAP vs AUTOBOT SKIDS These AUTOBOT brothers dreamefd for years of being part of the AUTOBOT team on the front lines of the war. With their arrival on Earth, their dream came true. OPTIMUS PRIME himself recruited them into the ranks, and now they serve happily under the command of IRONHIDE. Mudflap: SPD 7 HP 5 RAM 4 ARM 5 Avg 5.25 Autobot Skids: SPD 7 HP 5 RAM 4 ARM 5 Avg 5.25 BATTLE SERIES 05: AUTOBOT RATCHET vs MEGATRON AUTOBOT RATCHET is dedicated to the preservation of life, no matter what form it takes. His attitude offends MEGATRON. To the DECEPTICON leader, living creatures are tools to be used as he sees fit. He has no regard for those destroyed in his quest for power. Megatron: SPD 10 HP 10 RAM 10 ARM 10 Avg 10 Autobot Ratchet: SPD 6 HP 8 RAM 4 ARM 9 Avg 6.75 In case you're wondering why these two are paired up, it's a callback to the original Marvel Transformers comic, in which Megatron and Ratchet kept ending up in mutual (seeming) destruction. These are repaints. The Megatron has a more bluish cast to the silver, while Ratchet is in the black and green scheme that would later be applied to Night Ops Ratchet. The only reason I got this was that it was $1.48 on clearance at Target. BATTLE SERIES 06: RAMPAGE vs LANDMINE LANDMINE lives for the excitement of working in secret, and fighting for what's right. RAMPAGE, on the other land [sic], lives only to crush and destroy. The two robots are bitter enemies. Each will stop at nothing to destroy the other. Rampage: SPD 4 HP 9 RAM 9 ARM 9 Avg 7.75 Landmine: SPD 5 HP 7 RAM 6 ARM 4 Avg 5.5 Notes: While Landmine is based on the same sort of vehicle as single-pack Rollbar, it's a distinct mold. BATTLE SERIES 07: IRONHIDE vs STARSCREAM NEST redeco of Ironhide, I never saw this one in stores, but I expect the stats are the same. BATTLE SERIES 08: ROLLBAR vs SIDEWAYS Redecos again. BATTLE SERIES 2 - I never saw any of the ones that TFWiki lists for this. I'm not even sure it came out. COMBAT SERIES 1 01: AUTOBOT RATCHET AUTOBOT RATCHET believes to the core of his Spark about the preciousness of life in all its forms. He fights alongside OPTIMUS PRIME to assure [sic] that he can use his healing talents to protect as many creatures as he can. SPD 6 HP 8 RAM 4 ARM 9 Avg 6.75 COMBAT SERIES 1 02: MEGATRON MEGATRON rules over the DECEPTICON army with absolute authority. Soon, he hopes to wield that same authority over the entire universe, and he will allow no one to stand in his way. SPD 10 HP 10 RAM 10 ARM 10 Avg 10 COMBAT SERIES 1 03: IRONHIDE Rough, tough, and always ready for a fight, IRONHIDE is the one any AUTOBOT sees when he needs a weapon. IRONHIDE has a collection of laser blasters and missile cannons second to none in the galaxy. No one is as ready for - or as likely to win - a battle as him. SPD 5 HP 9 RAM 8 ARM 9 Avg 7.75 All grammar and style issues are as per the original. COMBAT SERIES 1 04: LONG HAUL If LONG HAUL weren't so bitter, he'd be really useful. He's strongh, which is all he really needs to be to fulfill his purpose of carrying heavy things. Unfortunately, he hates carrying other robots' stuff around, and goes out of his way to break or lose things. Long Haul: SPD 3 HP 10 RAM 9 ARM 9 Avg 7.75 COMBAT SERIES 2 01: STARSCREAM Calculating, ruthless, and ambitious, STARSCREAM is nearly as powerful as MEGATRON himself. Though other DECEPTICONS may not respect him, they all fear his power, and obey him without question. SPD 10 HP 10 RAM 8 ARM 7 Avg 8.75 COMBAT SERIES 2 02: MUDFLAP MUDFLAP is what humans call a spaz. Surprisingly, this works out well for him in battle, since his high speed and erratic behavior make him a confusing and difficult target. SPD 7 HP 5 RAM 4 ARM 5 Avg 5.25 COMBAT SERIES 2 03: ROLLBAR ROLLBAR was trained to fight by IRONHIDE, but he never took to the acrobatics of his mentor. He prefers to take a few shots to the chest, just to prove he can, before moving in and pounding his enemy to pieces. SPD 5 HP 9 RAM 9 ARM 9 Avg 8 COMBAT SERIES 2 04: AUTOBOT SKIDS AUTOBOT SKIDS may be a chatty know-it-all, but that doesn't mean he never has a good idea. They're just rare, and they usually get buried between layers of hair-brained schemes and half-baked plans. SPD 7 HP 5 RAM 4 ARM 5 Avg 5.25 SPEED SERIES 01: SIDEWAYS SIDEWAYS is fast and smart, but not very powerful. He serves the DECEPTICONS with his speed, making high velocity runs with information too important to send electronically. He avoids fighting, and relies on bigger DECEPTICONS to protect him. SPD 7 HP 8 RAM 4 ARM 5 Avg 6 SPEED SERIES 02: BUMBLEBEE None of the other AUTOBOTS enjoy being the first to land on an alien world, which is why BUMBLEBEE always pulls the dangerous duty. He loves being the first one to explore new, interesting places, and make friends with any locals he meets. SPD 6 HP 8 RAM 6 ARM 5 Avg 6.25 SPEED SERIES 03: JOLT Chaotic and carefree, JOLT exists to enjoy life. His energetic sense of humor keeps things light on long missions, while his sharp mind can turn a prank into a punishing blow against the DECEPTICONS without missing a beat. SPD 4 HP 4 RAM 6 ARM 7 Avg 5.25 SPEED SERIES 04: SIDESWIPE There have been a lot of DECEPTICON masters of the blade over the years, but every one of them has fallen before SIDESWIPE. In the history of CYBERTRON, there is no finer swordsman SIDESWIPE is single-minded in his pursuit of perfection with a sword. SPD 8 HP 8 RAM 8 ARM 6 Avg 7.5 COMMANDER SERIES 01: OPTIMUS PRIME Leader and most powerful of the AUTOBOTS, OPTIMUS PRIME is sworn to defend life and freedom across the universe. Under his command, the AUTOBOTS have traveled through space, battling and destroying the evil DECEPTICONS wherever they are found. SPD 7 HP 10 RAM 10 ARM 10 Avg 9.25 COMMANDER SERIES 02: BUMBLEBEE Loyal, smart, and fast, BUMBLEBEE is a master scout and spy. He's also highly skilled in sneaky fighting, using his small size and high speed to catch his oponents unaware. SPD 6 HP 8 RAM 6 ARM 5 Avg 6.25 Different mold entirely, with the 2007 movie version of the Concept Camaro (there's a bunch of small differences between 2007 and 2009) and a new cameo on the underside with the battle mask. COMMANDER SERIES 03: BARRICADE BARRICADE was built to hunt. Back on CYBERTRON, he would spend weeks stalking a single target, learning everything there was to know about his victim before striking. He is a master of using his prey's weaknesses to win a battle before it even begins. SPD 8 HP 8 RAM 8 ARM 6 Avg 7.5 COMMANDER SERIES 04: MIXMASTER MIXMASTER is crazy but brilliant. Years of exposure to poisons of his own making have rotted his circuits, making him less and less careful with the dangerous chemicals he uses. Even so, there is no finer scientist among the DECEPTICONS. SPD 3 HP 10 RAM 6 ARM 7 Avg 6.5 Dave Van Domelen, suspects the Metal Heroes series will not actually hit shelves, at least not as RPMs. Maybe they'll get stuck under the Speed Force line.
