"So The Entire Population of Avalon Walks Into a Bar..." May 21, 2000 A Lot of People ----- -Main Room This place is large. You've apparently entered a huge nightclub with different areas. To the far left there is a room where the D.J.s often go and play music, but is always off-limits and guarded too heavily for anyone not specially hired for that room to go there. The far middle seems to have a stage where musicians have their instruments out and are playing, comedians have their props and microphone, and poets have their poetry to read. To the far right there is a bar where, at day, Sean goes and bartends, but at night, a hired man bartends. The bar itself is about 15 feet in length and 4 feet thick. Underneath the bar table, under the area the bartender, is a shotgun that is lisenced and registered to Sean, as well as some ammunition. Right behind the bar is a door which remains watched by the bartender and a camera on the side of the door. The door is labelled "Staff Only". To the middle left is the Blue Section, where a blue light often shines upon blue tables with four blue chairs inside each table or in use. To the center of the room is a dance floor where a group of lights shine down: a regular white light in the middle that can move about on its focus, a green light to the right, a blue light to the left, a red to the front, and another white light in the back, which hits the stage. To the middle right is the green section which, like blue section, has green tables with five chairs seated inside the tables or are in use. In the front left and right is the dark section where people come to seek haven from the light. Sean is often seen there when he does sit down. No light penetrates the area, except for such from the single candle on each table. The tables are black with three chairs to each table. The front center has only a couple tables, as people need a place to walk through. The red tables and chairs signify romance in some way. There are only two chairs per table, as well as a single candle on the table. At all times, music is playing. Sean is a major fan of the Grateful Dead and often plays some of their music for the people. No rap, opera or country songs are heard in here, though nearly everything else is played. He expects everyone to behave and have fun, though there is a camera on the walls that watch every section and tape everything that they see. The wooden doors are closed by the bouncers after you. ---Alanna's Desc--- Alanna Russet is a stunning display of beauty, yet, seems not to notice it. She stands at about 5'2", with waist length, slightly curly golden-blonde hair. Her eyes are a beautiful, deep, crystiline blue, and make her look like she could go into modeling if she wanted to. She's not skinny, but slim, with fair skin, slightly on the pale side but not enough to look unattractive. Currently, Alanna wears a classy looking blue dress. The upper portion of the dress is tight fitting, and reaches to mid neck. The sleeves are short, just covering the top of her shoulders and leaving her upper arms bare. The lower part of the dress is slim, reaching to her ankles with a slit to her knee length on both sides of the dress. Upon her arms are elbow length matching baby blue fingerless gloves, showing off her neatly manicured nails, painted almost the exact same color blue as the outfit. Her shoes are matching blue high heels, with thin blue straps that lace up around her ankles. A shiney looking brand new silver locket hangs around her neck, and a pair of antique looking silver earrings dangles down from her ears. Her hair is let loose around her shoulders, letting it's full waist length down around her, with it curling slightly. ----- ---Sandy's Desc--- Tallish, on his way to manhood but not nearly there yet, Sandy Hawkins is your classic 'All-American Kid'. His touseled blond curls frame a sweet, boyish face, with brilliant blue eyes and a slightly snubbed, lightly freckled nose. The only thing that seems out of place on the older teen's features is his expression: it's one of distance. The corner of his mouth is quirked up in a sort of half-afraid, half-bemused way; his eyes betray a bewilderment that his words would never even have you guess at. The teenager's wearing a pair of new bluejeans, brand new hightop sneakers, and a white button-down oxford shirt (collar open two buttons, untucked, undershirt showing underneath). Over it all is a yellow jacket with a red collar that has embroidered on the back, 'Young All-Stars'. ----- So this blond kid walks into a bar... No, really. As he enters, Sandy's every move is calculated and careful; he looks like he's trying not to get noticed. Too bad he's obviously underage and wearing a yellow jacket, eh? He pauses not far from the entrance, getting his bearings. An asian woman with bright cannary yellow hair pushes through the wooden doors of the club. She doesn't seem all that concerned about anything; on entrance she just scopes out the crowd, one hand lazily brushing through that hair of hers while the other keeps hidden away in a jacket pocket. Alanna is seated at a table, heading up onto the stage for another number. Hesitating again, then finally making up his mind not to make waves *quite* just yet, Sandy makes his way over to the bar. . o O (Why do I do this? I'm only setting myself up.) The kid, he takes a seat and leans over the counter, wiseass look already on his face, chip firmly ingrained in his shoulder. "Heya, barkeep! Can I get a, uh, cola?" Straggling several feet behind Lilith (just enough so that she doesn't immediatly know that he's kind of following her) Luc saunters in. He adjusts his coat before gazing around. . o O (People. I hate people. Why did I come here again? Oh...Lilly...right.) That asian chick, Lilith, decides to follow Sandy up to the bar with more intent than just to end up at the bar - when she gets there a litte bit after Sandy makes a request from the barkeep, she chirps up. "Hey cute guy, you busy?" Of course, her single minded intent makes her completely miss the fact that she herself is being followed. Sean smirks with the groups in today. He continues working the bar, the slave driver driving himself to death today again. After last time, Reginald almost had a heart attack. Sean nods to Sandy, getting a glass, sliding it inside the Ice chest, then filling it up with diet coke. He hands it to Sandy, still looking about. Timethian steps slowly into the nightclub, eyes silent as the bouncers search his trench-coat for any weapons... it's not common to see a tattooed guy in a trench coat walk into a modern night club like this one. Timethian, however, is not here for the ambiance or modern mix. He's here to satisfy a curiousity based on rumor... Alanna clears her throat as she speaks into the mic. "I'd like to dedicate this song to and old friend.." "Who, me-" begins Sandy, startled, glancing back at Lilith. Quickly he smooths it over, "Ah - no, y'know, I don't think I'd be here if I were. Y'know?" He flashes Sean a grin, picking up the pop and raising it slightly in a sort of mock salute. "Thanks." Leaning back a little, elbow on the bar, the kid casually sizes Lilith up. Careful. Luc stands a few feet behind Lilith, glaring at her through his sunglasses. Slowly he removes them, glassy yellow eyes moving towards the person she's talking to. He clears his throat loudly before talking, "Lilly." Alanna starts to sing. The song is sort of fast, and real upbeat, the kind people like to dance to. "What's a girl, supposed to do.. with a fool like you? Don't go trying the key in the door, 'cause it won't turn for you.." Sean quickly changes his eyes from anything else. Its... energy that he feels. Heavy energy. He turns his eyes on Timethian. He makes sure the shotgun is loaded properly by feeling the inside of the shotgun. Yup... fully loaded in case of an emergancy. He notices Alanna, turning his body so that Timethian is in the corner of his eyes. "Huh, you no be here for..." Lilith breaks into a long, heavy sigh when she hears her name and doesn't bother to continue with what she was saying. Instead, she glances over her shoulder and says, "Oh... Hi Lucky Luc... how you doing?" She has an accent. Timethian doesn't seem to be entirely menacing at the moment. No weapons... no stakes or such... but there are some markings on him that would proclaim his station to anyone with the knowledge. The marks are old, however, and intermingled with other tattoos. If he's truly a slayer, he's been at it for quite a long time. He turns his eyes... noting Sean's stare, quirking an eyebrow as one of his rings dimly glows... then dies. Another flares... as if reflecting the light, and he openly looks at the man... confused. The yellow-haired woman obviously knows the sunglasses-indoors fellow behind her, so Sandy takes this opportunity to sip his recently-acquired beverage - and makes a /horrible/ face. It's only with extreme effort that he's able to swallow, and he shoots Sean an incredulous look. "Ah...what is this? It sure doesn't taste like Coca-Cola..." Luc chews on his lower lip while he addresses Lilith, staring behind her and not directly at her. "Doing fine. Could be better. What are you here for?" Sean looks at Timethian. Its more the power than any knowledge at all that has him... careful and defensive at the moment. He looks to Sandy. "Its called a Diet soday. Diet Coke in this instance." Alanna continues singing. Not only does the girl have a good voice, upon closer inspection she can be quite reconizable.. as a famous heiress. She continues singing. "Get up on the ceiling, you don't know what I'm feeling.. act your age and not your shoe size!" Lilith shrugs to Luc. "Cuz I want be here, okay? No thought had to ever ask you." Her lips take a downturn to a frown. "What are you wearing stupid looking glasses for? Is night, and inside building... you look like a dork." She lifts a hand to scritch the side of her nose as she talks. Timethian walks up to the bar... noting the presense of two familiar people... The last time he encountered Lilith and Luc, there was nearly a brawl. He takes a seat at the booth, and mentally begins scanning the area. Sean is an enigma to him... he's dealt with all manner of vapires in his day... and he can practically smell their taint on the man... yet... he is no vampire. "Hey, barkeep... what's the oldest scotch you got here?" "...oh," says Sandy, after a slight delay. He quickly glances in the direction that Sean'd been staring, checking to see if there's anything he ought to keep an eye on, but - well. Looks like just another 'this side of town' type. The teenager gives his glass another skeptical glance before returning his attention to Lilith and Luc. Luc grinds his tongue on his back molars, his speech seriously hindered. "...'wearing sunglasses because I can. I could wear a wedding dress in the middle of the afternoon, and it'd make fashion headlines. Recognizablity is a flaw, remember that." ---Timethian's Desc--- The man before you, whether standing or reclining, is at least impressive to look at, a mass of lean muscle and incredible body art held by a frame of at least six and a half feet. His heavily-tanned skin, where not covered in some sort of art, suggests that the coloring is nearly permanent. He seems of an almost Native American heritage, although perhaps farther south. His face, which seems nearly covered in various tribal markings, knotwork, and the like, is centered on his forehead by a picture of a dragon in a battle-ready stance. Long hair, bleached nearly white by many years under the sun, collects in soft wavelets down to nearly the back of his knees. His garb seems to merely make him appear even more out of place: a pair of loose cargo-style pants... and pretty much nothing else. His chest is bare, revealing even more bodywork... some specific, some just seeming to run from one image to another. Even his hands and are covered in the tattoos. His feet are decked with a simple pair of leather sandals. He wears several rings on each finger, and even one necklace. However, it is the oddness of the necklace's main feature that draws the most attention. It's a woman's ring... diamond, and most likely a wedding ring. ----- Alanna continues singing, "Get your wheels in motion and dump that crazy notion.. get your toys, get out of my way.." Lilith simply shakes her head. "No wanna deal with rich famous person angst right now." She waves a hand in the direction of the singer, Alanna. "Maybe you should listen her song, maybe it help you or something. Maybe you learn not be so obsessed about me." Alanna sings, "Baby it's a lie now, and you will find out, I'm the shy one, whoa yeah.. what's the situation? It's just temptation. You're with the shy one.. ha! ha!" Alanna sings, "Let me reveal, one secret to you.. this lion's in her cage. Treat her well, and treat her good.. or she'll devour you!" Sean looks to Timethian. "Oldest scotch'd be an 1876." He states, not wanting to go back pretty far to the oldest alcohol he has, although the 1876 isn't too bad either. About mid-way of the alcohols. Somewhat how Timethian scans him, Sean scans the man. The magic just seems to show so much of a non-human person. Too much to be an apprentice like himself. Must be something bigger in rank. Luc swallows hard, eyes staring right into Lilith's at some vein attempt at being melodramatic. "Maybe you should stop hitting on little kids." He moves his gaze towards Sandy, blatantly ignoring the fact that they're very near in age. Timethian decides to break protocol, and holds out a hand. "Give me a tall glass, then.. it's been a while since I had a '76. And may I say... congratulations on being one of the first things to truly confound me in... many a year." All right, that one, the kid can't pass up. "Maybe you shouldn't assume things about people's ages, boyo," says Sandy to Luc, eyebrows up, expression carefully neutral. Lilith turns her back to Luc after that comment and becomes all smiles to Sandy. "Hey, I'm famous asian artist chick in area ..." She places a hand against her chest, which coincidentally is also on top of the simple word 'Purr' scrawled on her shirt. "My name is Purr, is nice seeing you. You look nice." Alanna sings, "Get up on the ceiling, you don't know what I'm feeling, act your age and not your shoe size! Get your wheels in motion and dump that crazy notion, get your toys get out of my way..." Alanna sings, "Baby it's a lie now, and you will find out, I'm the shy one, whoa yeah.. what's the situation? It's just temptation. You're with the shy one.. ha! ha!" Sandy laughs quietly. "Purr? I'm Sandy - good to meet you, too. I have to say, you're the first famous asian artist chick I've ever met. I'm honored," he says with a grin, clearly entertained. Entertained and a little bemused. He holds out his hand to the woman, inviting. Luc shrugs off his obvious annoyance with both Sandy and Lilith. He moves over to a booth far away from either of them to sulk and brood (which is pretty standard for him). . o O (I have half a mind to eat 'em both...) Robopaladin enters the main room of the nightclub, about as out of his element as a motorcycle gangster in a grassy field of daisies. He takes a position at the edge of the crowd, and looks around, searching for something or someone. Sean goes to shake Timethian's hand. Of course Sean bets he knows what this is. And yes, there is a pulse there. "Aye. And you confuse me, although that happens often." He smirks and turns about. "Armand! 1876 Scotch!" He then shouts out in Italian something that, if anyone knows Italian, sounds like "Move your ***!" Timethian grins, and, in perfect Italian, says, "It's so hard to find good help these day, neh? Come... sit... I am a man who loves a good mystery." Lilith's smile turns into a grin, lips tugging up enough to show a brief flash of her teeth. "Oh, I very famous. Not so famous as angsty rich guy loser famous like him," she waves a hand down in the general direction that Luc headed. She doesn't really check to see how accurate it is, but the person she's talking about is fairly obvious anyway. "People think I very nice when I do my thing." As the last word spills from her lips, she finally places a hand on Sandy's offered. Alanna sings, "What's going on? Come on. Tell me, oh, oh what you want me maybe to say, oh oh, I can't make sense of what's trolling by, it's so clear oh, oh yeah.." Robopaladin's attention turns to the stage performer... and stays there at length. He continues to stand in silence. Luc reaches into his pocket for a smoke and lights it, leaning back in his booth. He glances about, mostly towards Lilith but catching a glimpse of Robopaladin. . o O (Ooh...I bet I could fry his circuits.) Donna Troy comes wandering into this area and is obviously a first timer, being a little overwhelmed by the atmosphere here. When most guys try this, it comes off looking contrived, lame, and sleazy. When Sandy, however, briefly and lightly brings Lilith's hand to his lips, he manages to make it look both entirely natural and extremely classy. "I'm sure they have reason to," he says diplomatically, letting go her hand and smiling lopsidedly. "You seem -very- nice." Alanna sings, "Baby it's a lie now, and you will find out, I'm the shy one, who yeah.. what's the situation, it's just temptation.. you're with the shy one, ha! ha!" Donna Troy pauses to look at Alanna, wondering if she's the same Alanna she met awhile ago. Lilith sagely nods, seeming not to mind the kiss-on-the-hand bit at all. In fact, she flashes a grin towards Luc briefly, as if this is all just to taunt him. But that is only a brief look - her attention remains mostly on Sandy. "Is good, I make ice sculpture for people. No long lasting, but most beautiful thing because it so temporary. But, hmm." Her eyes narrow thoughtfully. "Why you think I seem very nice?" Sean looks to Timethian, smirking. "Kinda hard when you got folks who scare away the applicants. But I would sit down at a table if it weren't for the fact of my other bartender being in the Back Room working on getting the alcohol. And I'm waiting for the beautiful singer to finish to converse with her." He smirks. Donna Troy wanders over to the bar, and orders a simple mineral water. She seems a little out of place here , as if socialising is something she hasn't done in a while. Timethian nods. "Agreeable enough... so, instead of small talk, I shall ask you something frankly. I sense the taint on you... yet not the sheen. I have met only one other person like that in my life... and that happened quite some time ago." He flips open his left hand, which shows very distinctly a tattoo of a heart impaled by a stake. "I've got a vested interest... you may understand." Donna Troy smiles as she realises it *is* the Alanna she met awhile ago....and smiles as the singer's gaze passes over the crowd. With a laugh, Sandy shakes his head and grins. "Fishing for compliments? All right - first, you hold your own in an argument pretty darn well. Second, you create art, and anyone who creates instead of destroys generally has at least a couple 'niceness' points, right? Third, you're very outgoing and friendly. Fourth, you're beautiful." Pausing for breath, then laughing again, Sandy finishes, "And since I don't know you, I can't say you -are- nice -- only that you seem it." Luc rises from his booth, actually looking extremely irritated. He marches over to her, rudely pushing past people who get in his way. He stands behind her, relishing the moment as he thinks of something nasty to say. He hears the last few bits of what Sandy just said, and decides to comment on those. "She isn't nice." Oooooooh...real harsh. Robopaladin's gaze jerks mechanically from the stage performance to the... non-stage performance. As is his custom, he observes in silence. "Why don't you let me make that decision myself?" asks Sandy quietly, gazing steadily at Luc. Lilith rolls her eyes, hearing Luc talk up behind her. "Thank you Sandy, me like you already. I -am- beautiful." She doesn't seem to pay any more attention to Luc. "So what you do? Is good to get to know new people I think, no point in keeping only a little group of friends when you can have lots." Sean smirks to Timethian. "Never would have figured you for one. Bloody 'ell. You didn't happen upon a female Vampire by the name of Sandra DeMarquise, did ya'?" Sean asks. For some reason, he feels glad and angry at the same moment, although both are kept balanced and well away from anyone's view. He loved Sandra as a mother and yet hated her for what she did to him. "I know what you are, though. And yes, I walked amongst the Wolf Packs of the wicked and damned. Walked as one of them. Not anymore, though." Donna Troy sips at her mineral water, finally spying Timethian with someone.....but chooses to sit at the bar instead, waiting for a moment to say hello to the two people she knows here. Luc leashes his irritation before he speaks, "The decision is a hard one to make, I am merely letting you cheat and save some time that could be spent...elsewhere." . o O (I wish I had a shotgun right about...now) Alanna continues singing, "What cha gonna do? Yeah. Maybe I ain't so shy! You're with the shy one.." She finishes of the song, and takes her bow. Timethian stares, befuddled anew. "You... found a cure for the taint? Then you are doubly blessed indeed. Yes... I'm a hunter... have been ever since my clan was wiped out by the creatures back in the fifth century." He grabs the Scotch glass as it is placed before him... rather well-timed, actually... and takes a causal swig, as if what he said weren't much of anything to be surprised at. Donna Troy takes a moment to put her drink down and applaud Alanna's singing.... Sandy nods, giving his soda another glance, and wisely deciding against giving it another shot. Diet - oy. His attention snaps back to Lilith, phantom grin flickering across his face again. "I'm...catching up on history. Haven't really met many people here yet - I only just got in from New York yesterday." A beat. "Look, kid, have you ever had your social life ruined by an irate and embarrassing friend or ex? Because that's what it looks like you're trying to do here." Alanna takes another bow before climbing down off of the stage. That last comment of Luc's pushes Lilith on edge - but she does wait for Sandy to finish speaking before she goes into motion. And that motion is quick and violent - she swirls around, throwing a wide, and wild, hook at Luc. Since she doesn't exactly know his position, besides that he is behind her, it's a chance of the die that she actually connects with anything at all. Sean claps loudly, turning back around to Alanna. He whistles as well. "Nicely done, Alanna. Perfect as normal." Donna Troy begins to rise out of her seat to head over to Alanna, but her attention is clearly caught by the sudden outbreak of violence nearby. Robopaladin crosses his arms before himself as he observes the contentious discourse. Nothing that the law should have a hand in, yet... still... Donna Troy thinks . o 0 (Oh Rhea....I was hoping this'd be a nice night out.) Robopaladin makes no move to interfere in the hired security's handling of the situation. Luc blinks as Lilith hits him straight in the side of his face. The dull thud of her fist connecting to his face rings in his ears. He talks as calmly as if nothing had happened. He doesn't feel it, so why should a small strike concern him? "Anything I say isn't -nearly- as embarrassing as what I -could- say..." How smug. Sandy immediately stands again, watching alertly, carefully; he reaches out and tries to lay a hand on Lilith's shoulder. "Calm down -! Calm down, it's okay. Public area, you know...big police-officer-looking shiny robot, giant bouncers - not a great place to fight, I'm thinkin'." He eyes Luc. "Knock it off, willya?" Timethian thinks back... he's killed several Matrons and Sires... names meant little to him. "You'd have to describe her to me..." He turns his gaze toward the confrontation between Lilith and Luc... and rolls his eyes. "They at it AGAIN?" Donna Troy winces initially as the fist connects, but her expression becomes more serious as she sees Luc isn't harmed, which sets her battle senses off. Bruno and Bubba seem to look like two buzzards watching the last pickings stop. Bruno doesn't look real happy. He wanted a little fist fight to keep him in shape. Lilith glares at Luc coldly, rubbing her hand... the strike hurt her more than it could Luc. "No care, he jerk that follows me around like an idiot fanboy. All he wants is to get in Purr's pants, that's all. He tried to give me money to do that, he think I'm some kind of prostitute. I wonder what public think if I took that to news? Wonder how good his fame be for him then." The grin that appears on her lips is not kind - more like, full of rage and threat. Sean grumbles and heads to the back. He's got a headache from this all. Armand takes the bar. Timethian turns back to speak with Sean, only to find him gone... "Well... damn." Luc derives some sort of twisted...interest from what Lilith says. "I do wonder. You wanna hit me again, but with some more steam? I couldn't even -feel- it." He licks the roof of his mouth, tasting the blood. . o O (Looks like something is hurt...can't feel it though, so who cares.) Donna Troy stands back a little from all the tension suddenly in the room, noting not only Robopaladin's presence, but now another officer's. Alanna frowns a little, heading towards the fight with an annoyed look. "Okay." the small asian girl, Lilith, says in reply to Luc. However, her agreement isn't towards hitting the man again - instead she starts walking towards Robopaladin, deciding to take up her threat most likely. The bouncers move aside for one Leeann Lowe, ACPD officer in casual attire at the moment. She scans the nightclub with a thorough look over. She smiles slightly. (Well this is a interesting gathering indeed.) she muses to herself. She walks over to the DJ, whispers something to him. The man grins and nods back. Robopaladin stands at the edge of the main room, arms crossed, silently observing the confrontation but leaving its handling to the hired security. He is here on other business.... he avoids acknowledging the female citizen's approach until the last minute. "Can I help you, ma'am?" Sandy's radar is going off now too - Lilith may not have hit that hard, but the guy -should've- felt it. On the one hand, he could be lying. On the other hand, he looks funny. So. He starts to say something, but Lilith is on her way over to the robot guy. . o O (Do I do the noble thing and butt in where I clearly don't belong, backing her up? Or the sensible thing, and get the heck outta dodge as quickly as possible?) Luc raises his hand as he follows after Lilith, "Before you talk to Robo over there...you might want to mention that you -are- a prostitute...? Maybe that would allow him to..." He clears his throat, taking a puff of his dwindling cigarette. He talks in his most 'Robopaladin-ish' voice, "Assess the data?" Donna Troy moves back to her seat for now, making sure that her look of concern catches Timethian's eye. Alanna shakes her head, deciding to stay out of this. Leeann grabs the microphone from the DJ as he hands it over. Hello? What's this.. is the officer actually going to SING?!? Well this is news to anyone that knows the usually quiet lady. The DJ speaks up. "Ladies.. and gentlemen.. I give you Ms. Lowe of ACPD.. who will be singing." he glances at Leeann a moment.. "Well you'll figure it out." the DJ concludes. Lilith waves a hand to Luc. Since Luc is close, there's no doubt that is the person she is motioning to. "Hello sir, famous person here -who you know- has been trying to pay me to have sex... he no stop harassing me and I would like him arrested for it... I no problem pressing charges against him." She doesn't acknowledge any of Luc's own accusations. Timethian stands up at that... Luc crossed a line there. He walks slowly toward the two... but Donna can see that something's angered him. Then she remembers... he's old-school... and Luc just called a woman a prostitute. "Is your wounded pride so ineffectual that you have to pursue the poor creature with venomous lies..." He pays no attention to anything else around him... just growling. "When will you quit?" Donna Troy's expression of concern almost becomes a smirk as things suddenly become a lot more comically complicated than what she was thinking. Alanna looks a little suprised at Leeann, but smiles warmly. "Wonder how good she is.." Sitting down at a table close to stage to watch. Sandy finally decides on 'quiet exit', and leaves the money for his nearly untouched beverage on the counter next to it. Since everyone's attentions are fixed on Luc and Lilith, including their own, it shouldn't be too difficult. He starts to make his way out. Robopaladin notes the officer's presence on stage, but looks to the accused. "Is this true, sir?" Leeann nods to the DJ to start the song. The haunting melody is very familar to those that watch Highlander the tv series. (Ooc If I miss a line please excuse it) "There's no time for us. There's no place for us. What is this dream that fills our needs and slips away from us. Who wants to live forever? Who wants to live forever? Ohhhhh when love must die..." well okay she's not STAR QUality to that voice but dman she puts the emotion in it. Donna Troy raises both her eyebrows at the unexpected song..... Luc snorts, crossing his arms, "Allow me to point out some flaws in your argument Lilly. First of all...you -are- a prostitute." He swivels to Timethian, "And it's not a lie." True, because for all he knows Lilith is a prostitute. He turns back to Lilith and Robopaladin, "Of course it's not true. Why would I want sex with her when I could have sex with...anyone else? Including her pimp, I might add." Lilith's shoulders slump and her head lowers. She shakes her head, her voice choking as she talks, "I... I not lying... he no stop harassing me... he follow me home all the time... he think since he has money I go for him, everytime I go anywhere he follows me..." She even begins to cry a little at the end. Timethian's hand grasps Luc's shoulder, and for almost a moment it seems as if the image of a bear's claw covers that arm. "Child, you will silence that tongue, or I will silence it for you." Robopaladin listens dispassionately, engaging his voice stress pattern analysis routines. "You have reason to believe this female is engaged in unlawful activity?" Leeann continues the song, dispite the little argument in the background, "Well touch my tears with your lips. Touch my heart with your fingertips. And we can have forever.. and we can love forever.. forever... without you there..." the haunting melody accentuates her words. Is the officer crying? yes indeed, this song has a deeper meaning for her... Alanna ignores the fighting for the moment, watching Leeann. Luc feels the touch of Timethian's hand...but no pain, as usual. He starts to sob himself, "It's not like that! She said she loved me...and I bought her roses, a car, and some golden rings. Then she stole all my money, and proceeded to hurt me...real bad too." . o O (I'd like to thank the Academy...) Donna Troy gulps down some more of her drink, but is clearly confused about what's going on, what with the accusations and the singing and everything. "It's like Twin Peaks," she mutters to herself. Timethian looks at Robo. "Officer, I personally have witnessed this man verbally accosting the young woman on numerous occasion... given the situation, I'd gladly be willing to vouch for her side in this matter." He pushes Luc foreward. "This scum, on the other hand, I'd just as much assume turn into a pincushion." Robopaladin says, "Pincushion, sir?" Leeann manages to get the rest of the way through the song, her voice cracking at the end from her tears. She doesn't wait for applause, if there is any to hear, she steps off the stage and hands the mike back to the DJ. "Damn...." he mutters at the officer. She offers a sad, small smile as she wipes a tear tract off her cheek. She looks over at the little oddness in the background. Just NOW she registers that Robo is hear. (Oh... damn...) That crying Lilith was doing? That's gone in a second, baby. Instead, she flares up and glares at Luc. "Oh, you are nothing more than a jerk! I no did anything like that. You were supposed to go get drug problem fixed, you said you stop doing all the drugs and maybe fix yourself. No ever take ANYTHING from you, and you only want me me me. You suck." The fact that she was talking to Robopaladin a moment ago about this seems lost. "You no stop this and I nuke you." Alanna smiles a little to Leeann and heads towards her. Donna Troy mms and drinks a little more. "I was wrong. More like professional wrestling." Luc cries even louder, his eyes getting puffy and red even. He might...actually be crying. Not neccesarily about the things at hand, but maybe something else. "She threatened to use her evil mutant power on me too! Punches and cuts me...sets me on fire at various occasions!! It's horrible!!" . o O (I'd like to thank my mother, and my father, and my agent...) Robopaladin inquires, "... nuke, ma'am?" He hears less from prisoners walking past jail cells. Timethian looks at Robo. "Pincushion... lots of stakes sticking out here and there... you know..." He sighs, and shakes his head at Luc. "You lie rather poorly, scum..." He shakes his head, "Robo... the guy's a stalker... you're seeing his typical actions..." He shakes his head yet again, and stumbles away. o 0 (Damn... good Scotch, I guess... what the hell am I doing?) Donna Troy ahems, speaking up a little to the arrester and the arrestee. "Luc...is that his name? He's lying. If I remember you right from the papers, Robopaladin, I'm sure you could detect that." With that, she goes back to her mineral water. Lilith stares at Luc for a moment, and then breaks into laughter. "You stupid jerk, yanno that? You rile everyone up like this, you just doing a stunt for publicity." She stands up a little taller, and glances over the crowd. "No mind us, Luc just trying to stir up word for next movie, he and I no being serious... this just for fun. Is going to be called 'When Mutants Attack' and should be out this fall! It be good movie." Robopaladin repeats, flatly, "Publicity." Luc glances towards Lilith, and then around. He is a pretty good liar...just not when horribly stressed. He suddenly straightens up, wiping the tears off. "Right. Publicity. Good publicity too. Free..." He glares at Lilith now, "Advertising? Right babe?" Leeann's eyes regain focus quickly enough. This situation could get serious and fraknkly she knows full well that Robopaladin isn't equipped to handle these emotional types... but then that's a blessing, he can be impartial. Leeann though knows what it's like to be used. She marches over with a determined look in her eyes. She takes Luc by the collar, "You got one chance to explain.. no lies.. no tricks.. got me?" Timethian places a hand back on the bar. . o 0 (Shoot... almost got out of hand there... gotta hand it to that Sean guy... I've not had a drink that affected me in years...) He doesn't even notice that he's right next to Donna. Alanna heads towards the group, shaking her head. Looking to Luc and Lillith, she says, "Please leave, you're both causing too much of a commotion. Take this little soap opera out of here or will you two have to ben thrown out?" Lilith's laughing wanes into soft giggling, and then disappears as she watches Leeann grab ahold of Luc. "Sorry officer, this just publicity stunt... you no have worry much about it, if it problem his people will pay you for any liabilities or worries it caused... it was supposed to be just for fun, stir up some free advertising and show off Luc acting ability... that all. I one of his FX people, that why he wanted me here... I not to well known." Donna Troy smiles and gently places a hand on Timethian's shoulder. "Only they can handle their problems, Timethian." Timethian nods slightly.. barely registering the source of the voice. "Of course... just got a little hot-headed when he started throwing accusations. Shouldn't mix old values with old scotch... A word of advice for you..." He shakily takes a seat... and notes to the barkeep to bring him some water... "As large a glass as you have..." Luc glances towards Leeann, literally trying to stare her down. "Publicity stunt. Just what she said, but in fewer words." Leeann's gaze fixes on Luc. She totally ignores Lilith, her concentration is upon LUc's mind. "The truth." she repeats... Donna Troy smiles, making sure Timethian sits down okay. "Not something I normally have to worry about. Some reason you were reminiscing?" Robopaladin returns his arms to his sides, allowing the officer to handle the situation. She always seemed at least as good at interrogation as he, strange as that may be. Lilith looks to Alanna. "I sorry, his people pay you money for problem caused to bar... he only wanted to do some publicity for movie coming up... he may be able to work free advertising of bar into movie, if you want, that be good? All people who see it would know your bar for famous movie. Plus his people will pay for the trouble we caused you." Timethian shakes his head. "Nah... heard a rumor that the guy who runs the place knew something about local vampire activity. Thought to come check it out... and playfully asked what his oldest Scotch was... when he brought out 125 year old scotch... I just *had* to try..." He chuckles... "I'm an old softie..." Leeann snorts, she lets go of Luc. "He's a liar. This is no publicity stunt and he is not using this... lady... for sex." she announces. Now she focuses on Lilith. "Now then missy, like to tell us officers the truth or must I mind probe your mind some hmm?" Donna Troy smiles and teasingly says, "Not from where I'm sitting." She chuckles and adds, "You trying to work with Sarah Michelle Gellar or something?" Robopaladin inclines his head slightly. 'Mind probe...' must be some advanced psychological technique. He makes a note to learn more. Alanna sighs. "Franky, it's not my choice about the money, it's more of Sean's. And right now, I want all this trouble to be stopped. It just really bugs me when I try to have a good time and trouble comes up. So if you'll just calm this down and step outside and have a breather till you can calm down.." Luc grits his teeth as Lilith spins away more of his 'hard earned cash'. He looks at Leeann, her probe seering through his brain like a hot knife through butter. "You mustn't...believe the mutant. I would never lie." Irritation is obvious in his voice: he strongly dislikes mutants, especially when shuffle through his mind. Donna Troy thinks . o 0 (I'm not sure that's entirely legal, but there you go....) Timethian grins. "That annoyingly cute leather-wearing actress? Hardly. Didn't you know that that's what priests of Quetzacoatl /do/? I may have retired a few centruies ago... but I still keep an eye out. Someone has to protect the innocent." Lilith shrugs to Leeann. "No ever lie to anyone. I always tell truth." That is all she has to say to Leeann. "Now you leave me alone, okay girl? Luc's people pay everyone off for this scene." Robopaladin offers, "Everything seems to be in order, ma'am...." Donna Troy smiles gently to Timethian. "You're not the only one who does, you know..." she smiles. Leeann frowns at Lilith. "Not so fast Robopaladin." she focuse on the girl. "You missy, well.. you've done some things I'm rather shocked at. Maybe you better turn yourself in." she suggests. She looks to Luc a moment. "I do hope your not an accomplice." she smiles faintly. Timethian nods... trying still to shake off the effects of the alcohol... taking a massive swig from his water. "I know... but admit it: you're better equipped to handle metahuman threats than I... and I better to handle the undead..." Alanna just sighs, moving to sit down at a table. Lilith tugs at Luc's arm. "Whatever, girl, no ever did anything to turn self in for. Come on Luc, this publicity stuff is turning out to be kind of boring, and probably costing you more than you thought originally." As she talks, she tries to tug Luc towards the door. Donna Troy smiles. "But you have the experience that I don't. And that counts for something. We could probably learn from each other." Leeann shakes her head, unfortunately she cannot arrest the girl for what is in her mind... "Please leave before I have the officer on duty arrest you for disturbing the peace." she states flatly. Timethian nods. "Indeed. Plus, I hear the Amazons have a whole set of weaponry that Ive not been able to see and learn yet..." He winks at that one, "Oh... I've been meaning to get the word out... Loki's followed his brother to this city..." Robopaladin says, "You know as well as I do, ma'am, that the DA would be most embarrassed to go to PC on voice stress analysis and... 'mind probe' techniques. I suggest we allow them to leave peacefully." Luc raises his tone a bit, but not enough to constitute yelling. "Ha...no evidence except a mutie with a self-righteous streak..." He nods to Lilith, slowly trailing behind Lilith. "And I doubt it'd stand up it court." Timethian glares over at Luc... and fingers angrily at a pocket in his coat that normally would not be empty... Donna Troy chuckles. "We're not all Lucy Lawless types, you know....except for my sister. Loki, eh? Something to keep in mind...." "See?" Lilith says, as she reaches the door ahead of Luc. "This perfect for your next movie. Maybe you should hire those two for movie, they fit the title huh?" She says more, but the rest is said once outside of the bar. Leeann moves past them, she is letting them go.. she won't let the word 'mutie' get to her.. hell she's never been called one before. (I need a drink....) Lilith knocks on a wooden door. Both doors open for her to leave. Lilith has left. Luc knocks on a wooden door. Both doors open for him to leave. Luc has left.
