Shirtless, breathless, radiant, dirty, and bleeding from a thousand thousand tiny cuts and abrasions in his back, Bart flings open the door. "Wally!" he yells, grinning insanely. "Wall-eee! I asked her out!" Wally bolts out of his seat as you enter as he was seated at the iMac, attempting to turn it on... but then you enter and, "My god, Bart what ... well, my, I take it ... it went well?" He's to you in an instant, checking you over. Nothing that it won't take you long to heal from, right? "And I thought Linda was rough on me at times..." Absolutely, it won't take long to heal. Bart gets this look of immense confusion on his face, pausing. He peers at Wally. "Wha- oh!" The light dawns. "Right. My shirt. And, um, back. That wasn't Cassie, that was me skidding on the ground under Cassie at about 300 MPH." Then he stops again, and grins ruefully. "That didn't sound good either, did it? I tackled her out of the way of a falling tree and tripped." A beat. "Well, not tripped, per se. More like fell. And didn't want her scraped up." Wally grins. "Sounds like true ... well, affection." He grins again, and motions you in to sit. And then there is a blur as he finds you a shirt, and hands you some water to drink as he has the first aid kit in the other. You know him... getting to be a regular Mr. Mom. "But I take it she said yes, and she's okay now to go to that dance with you?" Bart Allen facepalms! "Dowh. I forgot about the dance!" he exclaims, turning to look at Wally, eyebrows up. "Totally forgot! But hey, I got her to admit she liked me." He yeeps as Wally gets the first-aid kit. "No no no, I'm okay, already starting to heal." And indeed he is. He gulps the water. Wally opens it anyway. "Just going to clean them out. real quick. You won't even no-," and Wally works real quick, and just after it seems he opened the kit he is closing it and your scratches are sleaned, "-tice." He grins again and moves to sit beside you. "Well, that's a great first start. Seems like it took years for me to get Linda to admit to it, though I knew it for some time. But, well, I told you so, right?" He winks. "Ask her over for dinner some time, or something? Girls like that." Bart Allen gyehs! "Hey! Hey, now!" He sulks for a second, then nods. "Yeh. Well, she's been here before. I guess. When's the dance again?" The kid almost sits back, then decides against it. He also decides against putting his shirt on until the stuff on his back dries. Then he smirks. "She thinks I'm cooler than Superboy." Wally grins and leans back in his chair, reclining. "Oh course you are. Men who wear their underwear on the outside ar eout of style. We men in red are where it's at. But,t he dance? I bet it's a Valentine's dance. So, you have some time yet. To build up the nerve." Wally winks again, teasingly. "Ergh," says Bart quite verbally. Quite. "Man. A /Valentines's/ dance?" He makes a face. "All that pink stuff? Man, I...wait, I'm safe!" Suddenly, the young Mercury Master jumps to his feet and strikes a dramatic pose, sure to bring fear to the hearts of evildoers everywhere. "She likes superheroes, duh. I can get her four-color stuff!" Wally just watches and ... smiles. Whatever that means, he takes it might be something good? "Well, sure. But doesn't she know who you are as well, out of costumes? And so, then ... well, I'm sure you get where I'm going. But, I don't think you have anything to worry about. Well, save maybe her mother," but Wally doesn't go into that. "As long as you got that first 'I like you' out of her, you're home free." Actually, he doesn't know what you mean. "No, where are you going? I mean, yeah, she knows my...heh...'secret' identity. But...I mean...what do you mean?" Then he blinks. "Her mom? I've met her mom before, way back when she was staying in New York over holiday once. She thought the Kid and I were kinda weird, but not terrible." Wally waits a moment and tries to figure it out. "Okay, it's this Cassie girl, right? The little blonde girl? But..." He tries to figure out if he knows who else she is? Seems like she is. But, oh, yeah, you do know her mom. "Right, that woman. Man, oh, okay. what? Ah, I think we're having one of those semi-adult to kid communication problem things, er, situations." Wally just shakes his head and grins. "Look, bart, I'm proud of you for asking her, and I'm glad she said yes Basically." A pause. Then a laugh. Then a disbelieving pause. "Grife, Wally, you don't know who Cassie is? I told you before...she's also Wonder Girl. You knew that. She's in the NBYT with me." Wally puts a hand to his face as he stands and shakes his head at himself. "I thought, but wasn't... well, makes sense ... I mean, Donna and, well, I'm sorry Bart. Had a lot on my mind lately about identities. Trying to figure out who this Oracle person may be." He grins at himself and paces a little. "But, yeah, I should have remembered. And you two have done a lot together. Makes sense." Bart Allen nods. "Well, hey." He grins. "Maybe you need sleep. I do. I definitely do. Let's see if I can even attempt it!"
