The Toy
You see a woman of average height wearing a sleeveless, bright yellow
jumpsuit, on the front of which are the words "Play With Me" in blue.  She
wears a purple vest with white shoulder pads, gloves, and shoes.  Her
steel-gray mask cover her mouth and jaw, with a strap across the top of her
head, bisecting her blonde crewcut.  Where her mouth would be is painted a
pair of red lips.  On the sides of her helmet, over her ears, are attached
two toothbrushes, one pink, the other light blue.

The heroes enter the cemetery and approach the assembly. The open casket is
layed on the ground next to the opened grave. Strewn aside it is the
costume of the Arrowcaster of Switzerland: a yellow shirt, green tights,
red boots and gloves adorned with a white cross, and a green archer's cap
with a red feather. The yodeling grows louder ... time warps and reality
fades, and from the skull you see glimmerings of another reality being
imposed over your own ... a world of grass pyramids, children with
intelligent psoriasis colonies on their forearms and walking bridge.

Captain Marvel scans the scene, "Holy moley! What are they doing?"
King Faraday says "Like I said. The natives in Jersey ... "
Hero says "You're sure these are natives?"
King Faraday says "Ever been to Jersey before kid?"
Hero realizes that it's time to dial.
Hero dials his remarkable H-Dial and is transformed in a flash!
Bruce
A middle-aged Australian man.
Carrying:
H-Dialer
The chanting stops. The figures turn to look at the newcomers. They
rearrange into battle formation.
John Constantine finishes his cigarette and fishes about for another one,
"This'll be where you people start to beat the spit out of one another, I
figure?"
Bruce says "Don't know 'bout the kid. Me? Never been anywhere before."
Doctor Thyme says, "Who sent you? What fools would interfere?"
John Constantine remarks at Bruce, "Nothing like a bit of random magick to
really make things interstin', eh?"
Bruce says "Old friend of the deceased. 'e's a bit upset about what ye've
done to 'is friend, there."
The Toy says "Well, his friend's not too upset. At least it's a change of
scene, right?"
Captain Marvel looks at Dr. Thyme through squinty eyes, "What have you done
with that man?"
Doctor Thyme laughs. "We have done nothing to him ... what matters is what
he shall become!"
Captain Marvel says "And just what is that, buster?"
John Constantine lights his newest cigarette and asks Thyme, "And what's
that exactly, Captain Clock-Face?"
King Faraday says "Under the new Constitutional regulations regarding
superpowers I'm hereby arresting all of you for violating the criminal
code. Wanna come quietly, or do I have to get nasty?"
The Toy's eyes light up. "Sounds like fun! Let's try it!"
Bruce says "Please. Get nasty."
Yankee Doodle advances on Doctor Thyme. "Festering clockheads -- not worth
my time." He leaves a feather for his foe.
Liberty Belle jumps forward and attempts to tackle the Toy.
King Faraday performs a leaping kick at The Mocker.
John Constantine makes his way around to get nearer to the ceremony and
attempts to engage no one in physical combat, ducking where applicable.
Captain Marvel rushes forward toward Bowman throwing a quick right jab to
his jaw.
Bruce produces about a half dozen duplicates of himself from nowhere and
the seven of them charge Doctor Saucer.
Doctor Thyme says, "Is it that time already?"
Doctor Thyme gestures temporally.
Yankee Doodle advances on Doctor Thyme. "Festering clockheads -- not worth
my time." He leaves a feather for his foe.
Bowman says, "Blimey! You did it, mate! You trapped the famous Yankee
Doodle in a time loop!"
The Toy jumps back, laughing. "You've just made my day a lot more fun!"
She gestures, and Libby's cloak comes to live and starts to strangle her.
Captain Marvel thinks. o O ( Golly! What's happened to Yankee Doodle?)
Bruce mutters under his breath. "Bloody heck."
Ambient Man follows Constantine and shouts in his ear.
The Mocker says, "Face the menace of ... the Mocker!" He touches King
Faraday, who becomes suffused with the same green and black design.
Dr. Saucer's head seems to go bigger ... his whole body shifts and changes
... soon he is a human flying saucer! He starts to blast away at the
Bruces.
Bowman fires an ink-arrow at Captain Marvel, blinding him.
Captain Marvel says "Ack! He's blinded me with that ink!"
Yankee Doodle advances on Doctor Thyme. "Festering clockheads -- not worth
my time." He leaves a feather for his foe.
Liberty Belle makes a small, strangled noise, and attempts to remove her
cape.
The Toy says "Ah, ah, ah, Cracked Bell, that's not sporting!"
King Faraday spins around and throws a quick spinning punch aimed at Bruce!
Captain Marvel rubs at his eyes trying to clear them. Then charges at
superspeed in an attempt to disarm Bowman of his arsenal of weapons.
John Constantine jumps back from Ambient Man, muttering, "Damn freaks..."
He continues to close on the ceremony, running from Ambient Man at top
speed, which is not very fast.
Bruce attempts to dodge saucer blasts and King Faraday while producing even
more of himself...he's starting to wonder if maybe Hero would be better at
this...he does manage to make another six Bruces, which, if anything,
provide more targets.
Captain Marvel says "People shouldn't play with pointy things, they may get
hurt."
Yankee Doodle advances on Doctor Thyme. "Festering clockheads -- not worth
my time." He leaves a feather for his foe.
King Faraday pulls out a large pistol and fires it at one of the Bruces!
Toy notices that Liberty Belle has managed to free herself from her cape.
"Play with *these*!" Suddenly twigs and brush from around the grave form
themselves into tiny figurines and attack Liberty Belle. "Do you like
them? They're my dollies."
Ambient Man outpaces and sticks his leg out in front of Constantine, who
doesn't notice and trips.
Doctor Saucer shifts strategies and blasts at Captain Marvel, which knocks
him off-course.
Captain Marvel says "Ahhh!!"
Captain Marvel thinks . o O (Should have seen that one coming)
Bowman says, "Thanks Doc! I was really in the boghouse there for a bit!" He
notches a glue-arrow and fires it at some Bruces, pasting them together.
John Constantine stumbles and falls on his face, cigarette flying out of
his hand.
Yankee Doodle advances on Doctor Thyme. "Festering clockheads -- not worth
my time." He leaves a feather for his foe.
Liberty Belle does battle with the little plant-men ... "Say, Brit-boy, can
you toss me your lighter?"
John Constantine reaches into his jacket and flings his lighter towards
Liberty Belle as he rolls over and looks around for Ambient Man.
Captain Marvel flies up, and trying to avoid other assaults as he does so,
charges into Saucer.
King Faraday fires at another Bruce while kicking with his right foot at
Liberty Belle!
The Toy protests, "Hey, no, yer Majesty! Cracked Blondie's mine!" She
makes faces at the struggling Libby.
Bruce, ever the coward, decides that dialing is the better part of valor.
"'ope 'oever shows up can 'elp the lot of ye out." As he dials, all of the
Bruces disappear.
Bruce dials his remarkable H-Dial and is transformed in a flash!
American_Werewolf 
American Werewolf is a grey werewolf in a USA Olympics tank-top. He carries
an American flag on a spear.
Carrying:
H-Dialer
American_Werewolf howls. "The lupine protector of Apple Pie is here!"
Liberty Belle says "Hey wolfman, I like the color scheme!"
American_Werewolf says "Yer not so bad yerself, lady!"
Yankee Doodle advances on Doctor Thyme. "Festering clockheads -- not worth
my parsley."
Yankee Doodle says, "Parsley! parsley sage rosemary thyme!"
Yankee Doodle's body twitches, epileptic tremor, as he reaches up and peels
away a face, leaving a raw, sore patch on the skin of the very air ... and
hurls the face, discus-fashion, towards Doctor Thyme. The man seems to
shrink in on himself, and his costume slowly changes.
Doctor Thyme
You see a man wearing a green shirt, with a black strap from left shoulder
to right waist, which has a metallic, silver disc in the middle.  He wears
blue gloves, blue trousers and boots, and a blue cloak.  His face is a
white clock face, with a red centre circle, and two green eyes, and his
mouth takes up 5 o'clock to 7 o'clock.
Doctor Thyme says, "But -- but -- but that's not possible ... stop!!! I
still have my ability to control time at various speeds! I will trap you in
my suspension ray!"
John Constantine sees the werewolf and mutters, "Oh bloody great. Don't
listen to your mates cross the pond." He says to him, "I'm not near what
they say I am..."
The Toy lunges at the lighter, attempting to animate it before it reaches
Liberty Belle. "See, King For-A-Day? I can do this myself!"
Doctor Saucer is knocked to the ground by Captain Marvel and, slightly
dented, blasts him full in the face.
American_Werewolf says "I don't care what you are, as long as yer not
against truth, justice, the American way, and mom's apple pie."
Captain Marvel is blasted back but is otherwise unhurt.
Bowman fires a stink-arrow at American Werewolf. "Bloody yanks!"
Captain Marvel says "Holy moley! "
Doctor Thyme draws out a ray gun and fires it at Yankee Doodle, who is
unaffected.
Yankee Doodle says, "Not so easy. Hee-haw-huh? Not so easy!" and starts to
pummel Doctor Thyme unmercifully. He leaves a feather for his foe.
American_Werewolf holds his muzzle against the stench.
John Constantine looks at Bowman as he says to the werewolf, "I'm as
American as the next bloke."
Liberty Belle is knocked down by King Faraday before she catches the
lighter. She gets up and kicks at his head.
The Toy looks annoyed. "You're not playing fair, you guy-ys!"
American_Werewolf says "Then we don't have a problem."
Yankee Doodle clambers up a tree to get a better view.
John Constantine gets to his feet and glances this way and that saying,
"Whassamatter mate, too cowardly t'show yourself?" He then prepares to
swing foolishly at the next sighting of Ambient Man in hopes that he's not
superpowered at all.
Captain Marvel rushes forward in an attempt to crush the blaster doors
closed, "Those things are dangerous! You should watch where you point
them!"
American_Werewolf looks at Bowman. "You, on the other hand, are definitely
_not_ a good American." He charges the Bowman, claws extended and jaws
snapping.
The Toy finally catches the lighter, strikes a spark, and animates a giant
figure of flame that starts to close in on the heroes! "Hey, children,
looky! If you play with fire, yer gonna get burned! Ha! Take -that-!"
King Faraday fires a shot at American_Werewolf. His aim is spoiled by
Liberty Belle's kick and he aims a backhand at her face.
Ambient Man mumbles to himself as he is knocked down by Constantine. He
kicks Constantine in the bollocks.
Doctor Saucer is seriously dented, and crashes back down to earth.  He
morphs back to human and hides behind a tree. "Sometimes, at night, I
imagine what it must be like to be married to a haddock -- is that so
terribly wrong of me?"
John Constantine lets out an odd squeaking noise as he goes down on his
knees.
Bowman backs up, tripping and falling into a barrel of rainwater. "Crikey!
I feel like 200 pounds of boiled inner tube!"
Captain Marvel reels back from Saucer's comment, "Huh!?"
Yankee Doodle's body twitches, epileptic tremor, as he reaches up and peels
away a face, leaving a raw, sore patch on the skin of the very air ... and
hurls the face, discus-fashion, towards King Faraday, who returns to his
normal coloration.
King Faraday shakes his head, "Phew! Thanks. I'm gonna get you for this
jigsawface!"
Liberty Belle oofs and falls as King Faraday backhands her, then gets up
and tackles him ... not able to stop once King Faraday has been returned to
normal.
Captain Marvel glances at the fire monster, "Holy moley! I better do
something quick!"
The Toy giggles at Cap. "Play with it!"
John Constantine coughs out, "Little help over here!"
King Faraday says "I'm back ta normal ya costumed clown! Get offa me and
take these jerks out!"
Liberty Belle blushes. "Oh, sorry Mr. Faraday"
The Mocker says to Ambient Man, "Kick him in the goolies again, Brian!"
King Faraday growls, "Just get on with it!"
King Faraday, from a rising position, fires his gun at the Mocker.
The fire monster reaches out a giant hand towards Captain Marvel.
John Constantine tries to knock Ambient Man into something painful by
diving at his legs. Perhaps the fire monster, perhaps just on something
sharp.
Captain Marvel flies as superspeed creating a whirlwind to try to contain
the fire monster, hoping to then put it out.
The Toy looks affronted. "You don't like my friend, Captain Marvel? You're
no fun at all!"
American_Werewolf stalks over to the rain barrel, reaches in and grabs the
Bowman. He then lifts him up and throws him in the direction of Ambient
Man, sans bow.
Doctor Saucer attempts to climb the tree he is hiding behind and take out
Yankee Doodle.
The Mocker arghs as he is caught in the shoulder by the bullet and goes
down.
Ambient Man is felled by Constantine's lucky knock and the flying Bowman.
The Toy waves her hands and the arrows from Bowman's bow come to life and
start to fly through the air at each hero. "Look, everyone! It's time to
play Arrow-You-Awake-Enough-To-Dodge!"
King Faraday dives to the side of the flying arrow and comes up punching at
the Toy's jaw.
The Toy concentrates on the arrows and the fire monster, not noticing
Faraday. She hums a little tune, making the monster try to dance la
Macarena with Cap.
Yankee Doodle turns around, heads focusing on Doctor Saucer. He catches the
arrow, having spotting it's approach with one of his heads, and spears
Doctor Saucer in the heart with it.  He leaves a feather for his foe.
Liberty Belle screams as the arrow pierces her leg. She's down.
The Toy giggles. "The arrow is narrow, and straight through your leg!
After we've been harrowed, let's go get a keg!"
John Constantine heads for the skull once more as an arrow rips through his
trench coat. He swears quite vividly.
Captain Marvel continues to put out the fire.
The fire monster resists Captain Marvel's suction and focuses its heat on
him. "Look," yells the Toy, "He can dish it out but he can't take the
heat!"
American_Werewolf dodges away from the arrow and breaks the Bowman's bow in
half.
Bowman shakes his head at American Werewolf and says, "Cor, I should have
known better. That Doctor Thyme couldn't organise a piss-up in a brewery.
What a wanker."
The Toy hums to herself some more, making the Fire Monster dance the
chicken dance with Cap. Suddenly, King Faraday clocks her one, and knocks
her out. The Fire Monster does a surprisingly good imitaiton of the Wicked
Witch of the West, melting.
American_Werewolf says "Should have thought of that before you
tried to fight the Louisville Lycanthrope."
