Marital Status: Widow Known Relatives: Andrew Morales (husband, deceased) Information: Maria was a young missionary preparing for her first trip abroad when the Night of the Rechargers happened, and she was chosen to become a Patroller. Her husband encouraged her in this task, making it easier for her to get away from studies and preparations to practice.  During the earthquake that destroyed Los Angeles, Maria's family--including her husband--were all killed. Having the Patrol and its work to do was the only thing that gave her life meaning for many months. Maria has finally come to terms with her grief, and her months of non-stop exclusive use of her Gauntlet have made her a Patroller ranked among the top of Earth's Patrollers. It was partly for this reason that the Patroller Maverick asked her to tutor the new, unproven Patroller Renegade right before the Boston Affair.
