Tony Pi's Academy of Super-Heroes Writings

Blackbird & Countinghouse

Currently, my shared-world writings appear on the Usenet newgroup rec.arts.comics.creative, archived at The Eyrie, which also hosts my website. RACC has several Imprints for shared-world serials, and I write series for two: Academy of Super-Heroes and Legion of Net.Heroes. I find collaborative fiction quite fun, and hope to do more. The 'imprint' that I currently write under is called Blackbird and Countinghouse. There are some issues written by guest authors, and you may find those at the main ASH website. Comments and suggestions are welcome - email me at pi@eyrie.org

Academy of Super-Heroes

The Academy of Super-Heroes is an Imprint developed by Dave Van Domelen. Most series are set in the 2020s, on an Earth almost destroyed by gods in 1998, and where superhumans are slowly returning among the human populace. I have written for 6 different titles:

Conclave of Super-Villains

The Conclave of Super-Villains is my main series in the ASH universe. It is a semi-serious look at why villains cooperate, despite their conflicting personalities and agendas. CSV was voted best series in the 1998 Urns.

E.U.R.O.P.A.

Eurasian Union Ruling Order Paranormal Authority
This is a Limited Series focusing on the Eurasian Union's troubled super-team. It is much more serious in tone than Conclave of Super-Villains.

Time Capsules

Time Capsules is an anthology series set in the ASH universe's future. Stories revolve around items and data from discovered time capsules.

S.T.R.A.F.E.

Superhuman Tactical Resources and Affiliated-Field Experts
Marc Singer and I collaborated on an issue for the DEEP ARMAGEDDON crossover.

Warden

Matt Rossi asked me to fill in on Warden temporarily.

Legion of Net.Heroes 2024

Picking up where LNH2023 left off, this is a series of alternate timeline stories set in the ASH universe.

Virtual Trade Paperbacks

Trade paperbacks are collections of stories that form a greater story arc. DEEP ARMAGEDDON won both the 1998 Urn and the 1998 rACCIES Awards for Best Story Arc. It developed out of my storyline proposal, and the ASH Four (Dave Van Domelen, Matt 'Badger' Rossi III, Marc Singer and yours truly) all contributed to the collaborative effort. PYRAMID SCHEME (including CAPSTONE) recounts the arc involving Rebus' ultimate play for power, and is a collaborative effort by many ASH writers.
