News"A Sweet Calling" has been published in Clarkesworld #44, May 2010 issue! Podcast version now available here. This story is my tribute to the vanishing art of candy blowing, which has been seen in the streets of China since the Tang Dynasty. Watch a modern Tangren at work: "The Gold Silkworm" sold to Fantasy Magazine! "The Curse of Chimère" sold to Beneath Ceaseless Skies! "The Character of the Hound" will appear in the forthcoming DAW anthology, The Dragon and the Stars. This is an anthology of Chinese-themed stories by ethnic Chinese authors outside of China, edited by Eric Choi and Derwin Mak. The Table of Contents can be found here. I will be appearing at the Canadian book launch at the Merril Collection on May 13, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the 3rd floor Reading Room of the Merril Collection of Science Fiction, 239 College Street, Toronto. I will also be appearing as an Author Guest at Polaris 24 from July 16-18, 2010 at the Sheraton Parkway Toronto North Hotel, where the international launch will take place. "Silk and Shadow" reprinted in The Best of Beneath Ceaseless Skies, Year One. |
