Welcome

Welcome to my corner of the Web at The Eyrie. Feel free to browse around, read free fiction, and learn about my research in linguistics. (The preferred pronunciation of my last name is 'pie', like the Greek letter.)

I am a Second Place winner of the Writers of the Future Contest (volume XXIII), a 2008 Prix Aurora Awards nominee in the category of "Best Short-Form Work in English" for my novelette Metamorphoses in Amber, and a nominee for the 2009 John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer, which will be voted on and presented at Anticipation in Montreal this August.
