Images and other Products of a Deranged Mind (also known as "Dear God, Did I Have THAT much In Nomine art?")
When I don't have anything better to do, or even if I do have something better to do, I draw. A lot. And sometimes, I scan said drawings and do eviller things to them in Photoshop, which is a beautiful program I hope to marry some day in a quiet civil ceremony er is this thing on?
Ahem. As I was saying, art is a good portion of my spare time, subject matter most likely of the fantasy persuasion but in the specific depending on whatever floats my boat at the time. Heck, I'm hoping that the use of Photoshop (which I'm not involved with, really, please ignore all incriminating footage to the contrary) will sometime soon become marketable. It's a lovely thing, being able to put your insane hobbies into a profitable format. But even if I don't, I'll keep on doing what I'm doing, darn it. I was frustrated as a child and ever since it's been just glorified trying to color in the lines.
Whenever I get things more tidied I'll arrange things by year of creation, but for now it'll probably best serve to give people a page to at least link to, instead of wandering around in my index like a lot of my friends have had to do for the past couple years because I'm a lazy sod and my HTML abilities are somewhere back in '94. Image descriptions might also be nice as well.
I should warn, that some of these are of odd sizes and given odd sizes might take a bit to upload, for which I apologize. I think I've learned a bit since then.
Stuff
Size: 302k
Done in: art marker and colored pencil
Gabrielle Du Marque O'Shea, aka Armory, resplendent in her crystal armor.
Size: 483k
The same as the above, after I jazzed it up a bit in Photoshop.
Arisa Ydira Aiziz, in a little Somethin' .
Size: 226k
Done in: Photoshop
A half-succubus character of my friend Phil Moyer's; dressed in a very little something indeed.
The pencil drawing version of Arisa
Size: 199k
Done in: Pencil
The pencil bit of the above, in nicely messy scanned version.
Size: 611k
Done in: Marker and ink, colored pencil
A character of mine, in noble finery.
Size: 220k
Done in: Colored pencil and marker
My envisioning and rendering of the famed feathered serpents of legend; maybe not accurate, but it was fun.
Size: 606k
Done in: Marker and ink
One of my favorite marker renderings.
Size: 591k
Same as the above, with some enhancements applied to the image and background.
Hendrix Wayne Jones, Hackerette
Size: 232k
Done in: Colored pencil and ink
A character of mine: purple haired, adorable, and fully ready to do terribly mortifying things to Pentagon .jpg files.
Size: 186k
Same as above and spruced up to boot.
Meg Diran, aka Megaera the Grudging
Size: 1.3M
Done in: Marker and ink
What happens when you make one of the ancient Furies of legend wretchedly adorable and collegiate, and with a tinfoiled hammer to back up her opinions with. WARNING! *VERY* large--I loused up on the resolutions when downloading.
Size: 162k
Done in: Pencil
A little scribble of Katharine "Kay" O'Shea, looking serene.
Size: 16k
Done in: Ink and Photoshop
Arisa's big brother Derek in a completely cuddly superdeformed version of his usual demonform.
Size: 147k
Size: 150k
Done in: Ink and Photoshop
A character of mine, derived from the anime El Hazard .
Meg in an early Photoshop colored drawing done by me
Done in: Ink and Photoshop
Size: 112k
Meg in her goddess uniform.
Meg in Goddess Uniform, as drawn by John Staton and colored by me
Size: 159k
Done in: Ink and Photoshop
My coloring of John Staton's rendering of Meg in goddess finery.
Size: 110k
Done in: Photoshop
My attempt to create something exclusively in Photoshop--the Seraph's appearance is from the In Nomine RPG, copyright Steve Jackson Games.
Size: 161k
Done in: Ink and Photoshop
What happens when a certain purple-haired singer goes into the *really* cute and furry mode. ;)
Size: 132k
Done in: Ink and Photoshop
A character of mine in her radiant celestial form...the general Cherub appearance is from In Nomine as well.
Size: 535k
Size: 64k
Done in: Photoshop
An earlier and smaller Photoshop-only version of Tatiel--this one isn't quite anatomically accurate for a lynx, but still cute.
Size: 78k
Done in: Photoshop
Tatiel in her physical human vessel.
Tatiel in 'Angelkitty' as done by John Staton and colored by me
Size: 169k
Tatiel *again* as drawn by Mr. Staton, this time in a rather alluring compromise winged catgirl form, and in a little red number guaranteed to knock most non-dead males unconscious. ;)
Size: 818k
Size: 26k
Tatiel...oh, you know the drill by now. This time she's in an utterly adorable SD version of her celestial form. Probably by far the one single illustration I'm happiest with in the very long run.
Size: 245k
Tiphareth, Bright Lilim of Lightning
Size: 205k
Another In Nomine character of mine, dressed in far less than she usually is, really. (She claims it was for the 2068 Babes of Lightning Calendar.) The Bright Lilim appearance is copyright of Steve Jackson Games as well.
An elegant (if young) Seraph of Lightning character by Larry Mann, shown in both corporeal and celestial forms. Seraph celestial form appearance copyright by Steve Jackson Games.
Tiphareth in flight through a raging thunderstorm that evokes the Word of her Archangel, Jean. I'm still incredibly proud of this one. Which is why I'm inflicting people with all the various permutations of the drawing.
200 DPI Version Without ‘Frame'
Lexis, Bright Lilim of Judgement
KAWAII! The Symphony's cutest (and only) Bright Lilim of Judgement. How she got there is anybody's guess. Character concept by Elizabeth McCoy and Walter Miliken. Bright Lilim appearance copyright of Steve Jackson Games.
Luxastra, Elohite of Lightning
Luxastra, an Elohite of Lightning who has turned objective surl into high art. Character copyright of Chris Angelini. (Hi Chris!)
Larry Mann's Malakite character, proving that he has very attractive black wings, a great tush (thank you, Tiphareth), and a very nasty, very sharp sword. I wouldn't advise messing with the latter unless you want to Get It from him, and the second unless you want to Get It from his girlfriend.
Tina in Leather and Celestial Form
Uniting two great things the above mentioned Malakite loves—lots of black leather and a seductive looking Bright Lilim girlfriend in them.
Sort of. Technically nothing's showing, but still naughty enough I wouldn't call this work-safe.
Giri, Bright Lilim of the Sword
Former Lilim of Baal, current Laurentine, uptight and defiantly male all the time. Nothing like shattering a convention or three in In Nomine. The Bright Lilim appearance is copyright of Steve Jackson Games.
Cantata, With Mallet and Obscene Gesture
My character, Cantata, with a evil grin and a gesture I'm sure is incredibly rude in the UK.
Christmas Card, with Christmas Angels
This was my Christmas 2000 gift to my friends: Tatiel and Tiphareth, providing new and interesting variants on what Christmas Angels actually are in the world of In Nomine...
Help! The cuteness is attacking me!
Quite possibly the most revoltingly adorable picture I've ever drawn. If you're into disgustingly lazy smug feline Cherubim, that is. Image, Steve Jackson Games, blah blah blah.
Rendering of a Malakite character of mine. The base appearance again is by Steve Jackson Games, with my own spin.
Jamethiel, Clarifier of Free Will
The first of my homebrew Choir of angels. Yes, that's a wicked Song of Numinous Corpus Claws. Appearance copyright is by ME. Ha!
Gabriel, Ofanite Archangel of Fire
A Photoshop-only rendering of certain crazy prophetic Archangels, as by Steve Jackson Games.
A highly stylized greyscale rendering of an In Nomine Seraph. I still like it.
This is what happens when you keep having a persistent image of one of your characters dressed up kind of like Aeris from Final Fantasy, with a big mallet and her favorite motto. Terribly sorry about it okay no, not really.
And one more dragon pic for good measure.
9/11 hit hard. This was my response to get the demons out. Background photograph by James Nachtwey. I borrowed, but he made.
I didn't for Dante, either. Are you buying this?
A very provocative angel in a very provocative Japanese vessel, with very provocative clothing, in a very provocative pose. She's good at that.
"So, How's This Gonna Compete?"
Tina, a T-shirt, cutoffs, and a lot of water. You do the math. DEFINITELY NOT SAFE FOR WORK VIEWING. One of the few recent images I did with Berol Prismacolor markers in coloring, not Photoshop.
Tina (Tiphareth), if her human vessel was actually elven. The clothing isn't too bad, either.
Larry Mann's character Kallisti, the Dark Goddess, hugging her adopted ‘baby', Cantata, both in SD form. Given the first is a nymphomaniac and the second a prude, don't ask me how it happened.
Laurence, Archangel of the Sword
Laurence, in typical human vessel. At least the way I picture him. Copyright Steve Jackson Games.
Yet another Clarifier, and THIS one has a yen for camos, canvas, and Really Big F*cking Guns ™. Being redheaded and cute doesn't hurt her case, either. Another rare marker drawing. Appearance copyright mineminemine!
Amazing. I actually have something here that isn't In Nomine or fantasy related. I did this for the art competition of my tropical fish club's annual show. I think it turned out quite well. I got first place, too.
Sketch of Lindsay Porter, Larry Walkowski's sister, and one of the many
members of her in-house menagerie.
Ink renderings of Princess Utena of Amber and Larry Walkowski, aka Prince Lawrence of Amber, from Phil Moyer's online Amber game Facets of the Heart.
Larry's sigil within his newly found extended family, the Royal Family of Amber.
Florence Maria Theresa Santucci Walkowski
Ink only rendering of Larry Walkowski's mother, in gardening regalia.
The currently ink only renderings of Katana and Oni, my two Demon God characters from a very El Hazardian world.
