Stirge pointed me at this. He described it as the best MMORPG ever. I have to agree. If MMORPGs have turned you off, look at Progress Quest! No need to give yourself carpal tunnel with tedious battling -- let your computer do what it's good at! Death is just a statistical decrease in your experience anyway... so the game takes care of that! No tedious hiking to quest locations! And best of all, you don't have to interact with all of the morons!
It's just my speed. Such a shame that they don't support Linux.

this was quite entertaining.
but i dont see the point.
also, it doesnt really qualify as an MMORPG because you arent playing against other people really.

After reading this I decided to give it a looksee, since my Mom has a PC to which I network. I thought it was cute and watched it awhile, then came back to my room and got back to other stuff. Hours later, I realized that I hadn't started a major download to keep the link alive... and the link was still alive.
It seems I've *finally* found a program that will keep my link alive without having to use up what little free bandwidth I actually have. Thank you for pointing me to this, Eag!
