The LNH2 That Never Was
Back in 1999, I had some ideas for launching a new Legion
of Net Heroes in which there would be more respect for other writers'
creations, an updating of some of the jokes, and a generally tighter
launching pad for new silliness. In 2001 I added a lengthy Author's Note to
the end of Acton Lord #0, and posted the files I had. With the move towards
LNH20 in 2011, I figured I'd contribute some of this stuff to the pool.
And so, here's the original files I had worked up:
- Acton Lord #0 - Diary entries across several
generations, tying the new Acton Lord to Professor Moriarty, and Sig.Lad to
Sherlock Holmes. Includes description of where I thought I might go with the
series I planned to write in LNH2.
- Da Rules - Everyone who was going to write for my LNH2
would have to agree to play by a few common sense rules. And yes, this was a
little adversarial, intended to exclude a few people I knew would never agree
to restrictions on their special snowflakeness.
- The LNHQ - Describing the nature of the LNHQ in this
version of the setting.
- LNHQ Staff - A pool of common characters around the
LNHQ that everyone could use.
- Net.Stuff - Retiring a few old running gags,
reinforcing others. Would have been open to negotiation.
