Dave's Lego Exo-Force Rantlet 7700 Stealth Hunter See http://www.eyrie.org/~dvandom/BW/Lego/Exoforce77 for general line comments. CAPSULE Decent main model, although I couldn't quite get the fiber optic line all the way through where it was supposed to be. A few stickers are intended for curved surfaces, you might want to leave them off. Recommended. $15 price point. RANT Main Model: Stealth Hunter Secondary Mode: Stealth Wasp Pilot: Hikaru Pilot Hair Color: Blue Main Mecha Colors: White, Black, Gray Weapons: Dual-Blade, Laser Rifle HP Armor: Intractium, 3" thickness Unit Designation: A.01 Unit Type: Flying Nickname: Dragon Wing (left boot decal) Build time for me was about an hour, including sorting out all the pieces and putting on the decals. And distractions. :) Ignoring the winged shoulderpads and just measuring to the top of a stubby antenna, the height is 8.5" (22cm), with most of the armor bits being white and the skeletal parts and joints being gray, with some black structural bits as well and a few clear red accents. With the shoulderpads in a nice position one ratchet up from horizontal and about 20 degrees swept back, the figure is 9.5" (24cm) tall with a wingspan of about 9" (23cm). The cockpit is a rounded smoky clear piece with decals that don't really work well on it. A pair of connector pieces jut down from it as a sort of close-range gun. The right shoulder has a radar dish, and a single short missile is mounted on the left shoulder. The right arm ends in a melee weapon formed from two white swords taken from one of the Knights Kingdom (KK) sets, some connectors and a flat piece with a decal that reads "DANGER: Sharp Edges". It's mounted to spin, but it doesn't spin freely like a rotor. It's a total of 8" (20cm) long, connected at its midpoint. The right arm ends in a long-barreled sniper rifle (the Laser Rifle HP), 4.5" (11cm) long. The body of the rifle is a Bohrok head piece, I've been reminded. The shoulders, hips, knees and ankles use KK limb pieces for their ratcheting joints (gray body, white moving bit, for those seeking to cannibalize KK figures for extra joints). All are universal joints. The ankle also has a side to side swivel so that the feet can rest flat in a spread-leg pose. The elbows are Technic rod hinges attached as swivels to both upper arm and wrist. These hinges are also used for the shoulderpads, giving them universal joint attachment. There is no waist articulation, and the cockpit window folds down on hinges. Left arm movement is a little hindered by the fiber optic cable, which could stand to be about a centimeter or so longer. In addition to the winged shoulderpads, there are also tailfin pieces attached to the sides of the boots as stabilizers. The pilot figure is white with black hands and pelvis, and standard yellow head. The chest is printed with blue and silver armor, it and the faces are the only printed images. At this time, I have no plans to assemble the Stealth Wasp or the combined mode, which is called the Mountain Warrior according to the webpage's flash comics. Dave Van Domelen, off to do 7701.
