     "Coop!  Coop!  You gotta see this!" Jaime shouted, emerging from between
some stacks of crushed autos and waving a small book.
     Coop slid out from under his giant robot, wiping a bit of grease from
his forehead as he sat up.  "What, you got the latest Lady Badgirl issue or
sumpin'?" 
     Jaime skidded to a stop and squatted down next to his hulking buddy in
the shade cast by the Megas XLR mech.  "Nah, this is a new manga I just
picked up.  Check out this story!"
     For several long moments, Coop turned pages, his lips moving as he
read.  Occasionally he winced, but more often he grinned.  When he was done,
he stood up and cupped his hands around his mouth.
     "Hey, KIVA!" he shouted.  "C'mere a sec, I wanna try something out!"
     Shortly, a redheaded woman in futuristic body armor leapt down from one
of the piles of parts in the junkyard.  "What is it, Coop?"
     "I got an idea from this," Coop tapped Jaime's manga.  "It says in here
that if pretty girls kiss robots, it gives them..."
     "No."
     "But Kiva, it's really..." Coop protested.
     "En-oh.  NO."
     "Awwww," Coop and Jaime chorused.

Author's Notes:

     Chicks Dig Giant Robots, but not THAT much.  (For those who don't know,
these characters are from the Megas XLR cartoon, in which a couple of
slackers get control of a giant mech from the future.  Kiva is the original
pilot, and would very much like to take Megas back to her own time.  She puts
up with Coop and Jaime until then.  Barely.)
