There's been quite a bit of discussion on how the name "Drizzt" is
pronounced. There are three schools of thought:
"driz-ZIT" - Probably the most popular way to say his name. It
is, however, incorrect. I've had someone on the Forgotten Realms mailing
list
try to tell me that he had a letter from Salvatore himself confirming
this as the correct pronunciation; while this may have been true at the
time, it is apparent that Salvatore has since changed his mind, evidenced
by the book Sojourn in which said rendering is called incorrect.

"dritz" - Another incorrect pronunciation. This one in fact comes
from the audio adaptation of Starless Night read by Simon Jones.
"drisst" - The correct pronunciation. It is confirmed in an
interview with Salvatore published in DRAGON Magazine (the TSR house mag)
around the time The Legacy came out. [I'll post the date, issue,
and pages as soon as I dig it up] Also, this is the way it appears in
the Forgotten Realms boxed set.
