The exterior of the house is what some would refer to, as maybe rustic. It's an old-fashioned exterior. The entire house has a very home-feel to it. The room is a light brown, as it's shingles match the color perfectly of the trim around the windowns on the upstairs levels and such. The main coloring of the wide siding of the house is an off-white that blends in well with the light brown trim of the wood. The windows are clean and shiney, as they reflect in the light. Standing before you about six feet tall, and maybe an inch more is a young man in his early twenties. He flashes a smile that just emits charm and charisma, that coupled with his bright green eyes just make him so friendly and warm. He's wearing a scarlet crimson costume with shades that make it look like a metallic crimson. The mask comes down and covers his face to his over his nose. The eyeslits are white, completing the mask. On the sides of his mask, are a a matching set of gold wings that streak back. On the main body of the costume it's completely red, except for a white circle with a lightning bolt jaunting through it. It's the symbol that represents the man known as the Flash. The costume covers his entire body in the scarlet material. Till you get to his arms, where his gloves are red, but the edges are trimmed with yellow stripes around, in the form of lightning around both his forearms. At his waist, there's the meeting of two lightning bolts, enhancing the look with more of the gold yellow. The material goes down to his shins, where on his feet are a pair of gold boots. The color perfectly matching that of the wings on the side of his mask. Be glad, you've just seen the Flash for a split second. Sandy grins. Sandy(#3156:Pc) You see a tallish, handsome boy in his late teens. He appears to be extremely self-assured, despite his youth and its accompanying awkwardness. An aura of smug superiority surrounds him, and permeates his every movement - yet there's something about him that says he's not a -total- wiseacre, or a complete jerk. Maybe it's his deference to the fairer sex, or his helpfulnes to the infirm...or maybe it's the way he looks out for his friends. Wild golden curls, almost Bacchanalian in nature, frame Sandy's young face. His bright cornflower-blue eyes hold an distant look, which could be misunderstood as arrogance if he isn't careful...his identity is kept secret by a red domino mask, which match his boots, gauntlets, collar, and the upper part of his trousers. His long-sleeved cotton shirt and the rest of his trousers are a bright yellow, and the ends of the trousers are tucked into the tops of his boots. All in all, it's definitely an attention-grabbing outfit, which suits the Golden Boy just fine. He stands there, and folds his arms across his chest, "Can I help you with something?" Sandy looks uncertain suddenly. "Ah...Jay Garrick gave me your address. I...I'm Sandy, from the Young All-Stars..." He trails off, then gathers his wits. "Can I come in? I thought he'd tell you I'd stop by." Wally West raises an eyebrow, "Jay gave you my address?" as he shrugs for a second and then lets you in, "Sure, come on in. Sandy, right?" as he waits for you to enter and then closes the door behind you, "What can I do you for, Sandy?" Wally West says "Want to move to the next room?" Straightening, looking a little bit more at ease now that he's not standing on someone's front porch in his super-suit, Sandy raises his eyebrows and flashes a grin. "Yeah - he said I ought to look you up when I got over here." A beat, and a slightly less entertained look. "Mentioned the fact that you take your legacy very seriously. Living Room -- West Manor As you step into the living room, it makes you stop. There's a small set of steps that lead you into the lowered living room floor. With the exterior the house looking a bit old-fashioned, the inside takes you by surprise. The floor is tiled, neatly with a modern style. On the ceiling there's rows of tract lightling, as the chrome lights hang from the tracts offering a variety of different angles of lighting when needed. Everything is painted a pure white, which gives it a very clean and new look. In the center of the open area is a nice comfortable looking couch. A television is placed against the wall facing the couch at an angle. Behind the couch is a staircase leading to the upperfloor the house. Mainly the bedrooms and attic. Sitting perpendicular from the couch is a large black leather recliner, which looks incredibly inviting to sit in. On the walls are various pictures of Wally and his friends. The pictures are almost like a visual timeline of Wally. Pictures from his childhood. There's one of that fateful summer he spent with his Aunt Iris and future uncle, Barry Allen. Then there's pictures of him with the original Teen Titans, Robin, Wonder Girl, Aqualad, Speedy, and himself in that old yellow and red costume of his. The stairs behind the couch that lead up, go to a balcony/catwalk that lead to the bedrooms and Wally's study. Underneath the catwalk there's doorways leading into other rooms. Gives both the host and the guest a rest from worrying about awkwardness. "Sure! Thanks. Do you have any soda pop?" asks Sandy. (Soda pop)0 o . runs through his mind, as he opens up the refrigerator. "I got grape and orange." he says loud enough to be heard in the Living Room. "What was that about no one knowing who you are?" he comments, too. "Solid! Orange would be great," calls Sandy back, wandering over to look at the photos a little more closely. Another Robin - but in a much more 'annoying-to-wear'-looking costume. "What was that...? Oh, just that I don't have any of my old rep left, and I haven't built a new one yet." Wally West laughs. Sandy hees. Wally West comes back out, holding a can of orange soda. "Here you go. As he notices you glancing over the pictures. "Old rep? Like how?" as he sets the soda down on the coffee table and sits on the couch, looking over at you. "Those pictures are from the days when I was Kid Flash." he smirks slightly, "Those were the days." he chuckles to himself. "Thanks!" Taking the can, Sandy has to take a second to remember how to do this -- ah, yeah, there we go. He pops the top and takes a sip before speaking again. He avoids the first question for the moment. "When you were Kid Flash," he echoes. "Was that a team you were on?" "Yeah, the Teen Titans." he smiles, "Now we're just the Titans." he grins a little. "That was the first team I was ever on. A bunch of sidekicks and proteges decided to kind of become a team. We were known as a junior Justice League back then." Sandy grins widely, trying to decide how to respond to that. Wally West tickles! Sandy nods. "Teen Titans. Much catchier name than the Young All-Stars, I've gotta admit. And the Justice League - it's not all the same members, is it?" He pauses to drink some more of his soda, then lowers the can contemplatively. "The Justice Society mainly kept the same roster through the years...but then, they weren't around for too long after the War, I heard. That's not the same Robin that's prowling Old Avalon /these/ days, is it?" Way to change the subject. Wally West shakes his head. "No, now a days, I'm a member of the JLA and Titans. Doing double-duty. But the JLA's roster has grown and changed a little over the years. Had numerous members in reserve status and active on the roster. That Robin is the original and first one." he says, kind of proud. It is his best friend, after all. "He's moved on to different things." Nodding silently again, Sandy occupies himself with his drink for a second, then glances at Wally again. "Have you ever heard of Wesley Dodds, the Sandman?" It looks like he's trying for the direct route now. Wally West nods, "Yeah, didn't he run with Jay in the Justice Society?" as he perks a little. Finally, the coversation coming to the point. "I've heard of him, but don't know too much about him." This pause isn't for drama's sake. It's out of - could it be? - shyness! Sandy wraps his other hand around the can, as well, so he's got his fingers interlocked. "Yeah, he did. I'm his sidekick." Wally West blinks and nods, "Ah...I see. Sandy. Sandman." he smirks, "I get it." as he looks over at Sandy, "Sidekicks are cool. But I'm not really looking for one right now Sandy..." as he mutters a little, "Especially with my little cousin Impulse running around..." Sandy coughs! Oh how he tries - he tries /valiantly/ not to laugh, but he can't help it. Quite an undignified little explosion there. "Oh, /cripes/! I appreciate the...awright, well, it wasn't a compliment but I appreciate it anyway. Listen...while I'm sure it'd be great to be your sidekick - even if I could keep up - I'm seventy two. I don't need a new mentor. Really, I'm just here to drop in and say hi, introduce myself. That kind've thing." Wally West ohs sheepishly and nods, and then eventually pauses and blinks. "Did you say seventy-two??" as he's shocked, oh yes, he is. Frowning slightly, then nodding, then looking dubious, Sandy finally shrugs. "Something like that. Wait..." Mental arithmetic time! "Yeah. Born in 1928, so that'd make me 72. Sorry! I haven't had any concept of time in a while." Wally West nods, as he quirks an eyebrow. "And how is it you look um...I don't know, 16?" as he listens. Looking just a little chagrined, it's all Sandy can do to keep from applying palm to forehead. "Gloryosky! I hope...I hope Wes told *some* people what happened..." He sighs, and leans against the arm of the couch opposite Wally. "An accident in '43 or '44 - accident with an experimental weapon. It's...complicated. And it sounds dumber every time I say it out loud." Wally West nods, "I'm listening..." Sandy sighs, then laughs. "I'm not gettin' outta this, am I?" He drinks some more orange soda, then idly holds the can on his knee. "The gun blew up while I was holding it," he visibly flinches, though whether it's at the recollection or the sheer incredibility of the statement, "and I got turned into a giant monster made of sand. They only figured out how to fix me a little while ago. When they did - well - I was like this." Wally West nods, "I see...wow, talk about time difference." Sandy nods. "Yeh. Well." He grins widely. "Just the thing to set your afternoon completely lopsided, huh? Should I start over again? Hey! I'm Sandy Hawkins, nice to meet you." Now he's off that topic, he seems...relieved. Definitely, yeah. Wally West chuckles, "Nice to meet you Sandy. I'm Wally West." he chuckles, playing along. Sandy laughs, and finishes off his soda. "I'm really sorry I just sort of dropped in out of the blue. I thought for sure Jay had let you know ahead of time - that'll teach me to phone, right?" A beat; he taps at the side of the can lightly, dull sounds because of his glove. "I did have a question - I guess, related to the cousin you just mentioned. I'm wondering if there's a team I could blend in with." What an ironic statement, in retrospect. Wally West nods, "It's alright, always nice to meet someone new in the business." he smirks. "About Impulse? Well, I'm not sure. He's always running around town. Nothing really set with that kid. Always off on a whim." Sandy hms, tapping his chin. "So he's not in some kind of...New Teen Titans or anything?" Wally West shrugs slightly, "Not that I know of. He hangs around with Robin and Superboy, on occassion though." Okay, this one surprises the Golden Ager. "Wait," says Sandy, eyebrows up. "The Robin I met has to be the most serious, -grimmest- kid I've met since...since Fury, and he hangs around with a kid you basically just described as someone on a permanent coffee buzz?" Wally West chuckles, "Yeah, on occassion. Robin's a lot like his guardian." Sandy holds up his hands! "Not that there's anything -wrong- with that! I'm just...huh. Yeah, 'need to know basis'..." He nods. Wally West snickers a little, "Impulse's is worse than a coffee buzz, at times." Standing, then, Sandy smiles lopsidedly. "Aw, I'm sure he's fine. I mean, you know, unless he's like Johnny Quick - does he go after girls much?" Wally West shrugs, "You know, I really don't know..." Sandy's smile evens out, and he clasps his hands behind his back. "I'll have to try and catch up with him, then. I should let you get back to what you were doing." Wally West smiles and nods. Sandy laughs. Oh man, I'm running you into the ground. Sandy says "You wanna just stop here? :)" Wally West says "Could we?" Sandy says "Yeah. <:)" Wally West hugs Sandy says "Next time I do this to you, whap me one and let me -kn0w-. :) *hug*" Wally West smiles sleepily. Sandy says "Night. :)"
