Earth #616: Subway(#350RFJn) Since the turn of the century, New York has held a variety of transportation. One of the most efficient modes is the Subway. These underground railed cars allow an ease off commuters minds, at least during the afternoon hours, as one is able to travel from one point, to another, without the hastle of taxi cabs, and car horns. Hundreds of people use the Subway daily, traveling to and from work, or towards the different tourist traps located within Manhattan. The graffiti on the walls and in the cars are all part of the journey, though the hot and uncomfortable conditions of the past, are replaced by a more comfortable environment. During the evening hours, it is recommended not to travel alone, or at some places, at all, as the Subway areas become unsafe. Trains arrive, normally, on schedule, as they stop, and speed past during all hours of the day. Earth #616: Washington Heights The northern Manhattan neighborhood known as Washington Heights was once undeveloped farmland. In 1776, the Continental Army's military installations there at Ft. Tryon, Ft. George, and Ft. Washington were overrun by British and German troops. In the century after the war, the area became a popular spot for the wealthy to build their mansions, but with the rise of affordable housing and an extension of the Broadway subway line in the early 1900s, the neighborhood began to change as poor and working class immigrants mostly Jewish, Irish and Greek began to move in. Earth #616: Westchester County From the bright lights and towering sky scrapers of New York City, to twin lane roads and rolling hills, the landscape slowly shifts as one leaves the city, for Westchester County. The scenery is picturesque, from its towering trees, to its green hills, carrying an old fashioned charm to its surroundings. The area is interspersed with farm land, which occasionally spring up over the horizon. To the north, Salem Center is located, while the road widens to the south, heading towards Manhattan. A river trails through the area, as it parallels the road, rushing towards the Atlantic Ocean. Obvious exits: Salem Center Greymalkin Lane Manhattan Highway North You head into Salem Center. Earth #616: Salem Center(#521RFJn) Nestled admits rolling hills, and towering forests, Salem Center in Westchester County remains a small and virtual unknown community. The population is diverse, carrying a unique, old-fashion charm and strong family bonds. Like most of the smaller towns and cities located within Westchester County, Salem Center has its own Court House, an ancient building that was made back in the early 1900s, along with Mercy Hospital, situated just off of Main Street, and countless privately own stores, pubs, restaurants and establishments. The Salem Center Highschool boasts of its students and sports, while the smaller middle and grade schools nestle close together, located more towards the housing developments. The Salem Center Mall is a big attraction for teenagers, while Harry's is one of the more popular spots to have a cold drink and order of fries. Earth #616: Salem Center Shopping Mall The Salem Center Shopping Mall seems to be constantly surrounded by teenagers, they infest the area, like rats in a sewer, making similiar sounds, a shrill squeek, as they scurry in packs towards the fast food joints. Over all, the mall carries a variety of different shops, from a Waldenbooks, Hallmark, and Sam Goodies, to The Bon, Vanity, Kae-B-Toys, and other clothing and novelty shops. The food court at the far north of the mall, holds a vast variety of fast-food establishments. One can eat Chinese for lunch, a hamburger and fries for dinner, and come back the next day to get Mexican or Greek. The mall itself is kept clean, janitors constantly sweep the floors, and during the evening hours, it gets waxed to a shine. Security guards do routine rounds, making sure shop lifting is kept down, and the crime rate remains low. The main attraction is located at the center of the mall, an ancient oak has been planted in the middle, with a large waterfall cascading around it, the scene is called 'Nature', a lovely view of serene beauty. The costume themselves are black that cover them from head to toe. The women of the team can let their hair stick out of the back of the hood that covers their face. Also on the uniforms they wear is a Silver T and X that goes the whole length of their body suit. Each member of the team has a remote tracking and signaling device that they can active the transport unit on the craft they use to escape capture or to get their loot out as fast as possible. Task Force X Members Brain Colby: Leader and founder of Task Force X Special Abilities: Brain has the unique ability to generate and control the flow of gravity. He can increase or decrease the effects that gravity has on a person or things. He can increase the gravity by a factor 50 times either on people around him or in a twenty foot radius from him. He can also decrease the effects by reducing the gravity by a factor of 50 too. He can also fly by means of creating a anti-Gravity bubble around himself or others. There is no limit on how high he can go. But in order to go to the higher levels in the atmosphere he would need a life support suit. He also is a vengeful person who will take revenge on anyone that has crossed him. Physical Description: Tall man in his early forties. He works allot so he has the built of a Body builder. He speaks with a English accent. Some government officials believe that he comes from England. He has brown short hair with hazel eyes. He suffers from nerve damage he received from the experiment that created him. His nervous system is slow being replace by special design wiring place under his skin to replace the damage nerves. David Colby: Co-Leader and founder of Task Force X Special Abilities: Has the ability to generate and control darkness. He can totally black out a total area of 70 ft. Radius and up to 500 ft. away from him. For those trap in the darkness it blocks out all light and reduce's those with enhance eye sight to nothing. Only those being's with enhance hearing and smell can move around in the darkness without any harm to them. Psionic abilities still work. Mechanical device's are reduce and don't work in the darkness too. Physical Description: Unlike his brother he stands about 5' 7" and has long black hair with brown eyes. He speaks with a English accent and his manners are those of a high class Englishman. Unlike his brother who is suffering a nerve disorder from the same experiment that gave them their abilities he suffers from the aspect that he has to wear dark sunglasses or his ability to see during bright sunlight days. He can only see 100 percent during nights and half that during dark cloudy days. Ellen Peirce: Third in charge of Task Force X Special ability's: Telepathy and Emotion control. Ellen has the ability to read and understand the thoughts of other people. She can also influence their emotional state to be more aggressive or weeping babies. She has also learned how to take her mental abilities to enhance her own body so she can attack faster and punch harder then a normal woman. Physical Description: She is in her late twenty's early thirties. She has medium length straight brown hair and has green eyes. She keeps in shape by exercising and lifting weights. She has a hated for the united States and will do what ever it takes to hurt them as bad as possible. His rother heads over towards the stairs leading up on the other side. "We'll try to catch her if possible. Remember she's a shape shifter" as he broadcast that to his brother and the Armor guy. The Black armor figure detatches two small retrangler ogjects from his waist and throws them towards Casey and Jenny. "How could I possibly forget?" mutters David under his breath, nearing the top of the escalator. "What odds, old chap, that she'll fail to notice us?" A beat. Yes, this is all broadcast. "Seeing as we're all wearing, well, uniforms and all..." [OOC] Wisdomitter says, "What kind of objects?" [OOC] Jenny says, "Self gudied concussion grenades." [OOC] Wisdomitter says, "In the middle of a bleeding -mall-?" [OOC] Jenny says, "Shape charges!! they are only strong enough to knock someone down." [OOC] Jenny says, "They can be controlled." The younger Colby mumbles something foul, sprinting toward the nearest solid wall until the grenades have hit. Casey has reconnected. Casey has partially disconnected. [OOC] Casey waves. [OOC] Jenny says, "just two retrangler objects coming towards you and Jenny." For once, Casey's propensity for acting rather than thinking serves him in good stead. When he sees the flying objects he throws himself into Jenny with full force in an attempt to fpush her well out their path. Jenny Falls to the ground and slide's away from Casey. "Casey get awy from those!" David Colby sneers. Upper lip curl and all. "Never send in a suit to do a man's job," he says so quietly to himself, then walks along the wall, starting up his darkness field; it envelops him, and it begins to encroach upon the territory of Jenny and Casey as he both gets closer and extends the field. "You're only making this more difficult on yourself, old girl," he says cheerfully, his accent coming through clearly. "And now you've got your little friend mixed up in this, too. Running for help only causes you grief, you should know that by now." Hannibal pages: How goes? The two retrangler objects near there target and just hover there for a few minutes as the armor figure watch the approaching darkness. Long distance to Hannibal: Wisdomitter eh. One of the men is enveloped in darkness. He jumps to his feet quickly hesitant as to who to go for first.
