Welcome to the Eyrie

Then sudden Felagund there swaying
Sang in answer a song of staying,
Resisting, battling against power,
Of secrets kept, strength like a tower

J.R.R. Tolkien, "Of Beren and Luthien"

eyrie.org is the personal domain of Russ Allbery. It hosts my personal web pages, the web pages of some of my friends, and various services, archives, and other collections that I've accumulated over the years. eyrie.org is not eyrie.net.

Russ's Personal Web Pages

My personal web pages. If you're looking for my software, FAQs, reviews, journal, photographs, or technical notes, or for other information about me, this is where to go. When I first created a web page, it was standard to put it in one's own user area even on one's personal domain. I'm old fashioned and never changed.

Software and Fiction Archives

Archives of shared-universe fiction, my software releases, and my personal Debian repository. Of interest may be the rec.arts.comics.creative and Superguy archives (infrequently updated). I also maintain a mirror of the rec.arts.anime.creative archives. The archives are also available via FTP, but most web browsers cope better with things like compressed files via HTTP.

Git Repositories

Git repositories hosted by eyrie.org are located here. I'm slowly converting most of the software I maintain to the Git version control system and maintain public Git repositories for the software that's converted via both the Git protocol and browsable over the web here.

Mailing Lists

Public mailing lists hosted by eyrie.org. These include the Superguy shared-universe fiction mailing lists, mailing list echos of the rec.arts.comics.creative and comp.lang.perl.moderated newsgroups, a public mailing list for discussing NNTP standardization, and a fanfic mailing list for Battlestar Galactica.

Shared Universe Pages

The home pages of various shared-universe fiction universes, mostly ones from the rec.arts.comics.creative newsgroup. None of these pages are actively maintained these days, but they're kept on-line here for historical interest and random amusement.

All services here are provided as-is, with no guarantees about availability or continued existence. Apart from the user pages other than my personal pages, whose owners can do with as they choose, no pages here will ever have any advertising, capture any personal information other than what your browser and you choose to send, or use your information for anything other than my private curiosity.
